Designed for expert skiers seeking precision on the slopes, the Rossignol HERO MASTER ST R22 Ski Pack + SPX14 Bindings is a competition-oriented alpine ski set, tailored for slalom and short, tight turns. It combines a carving ski featuring World Cup technologies with SPX14 bindings, creating a cohesive package designed for race-level performance. Available in four lengths, from 155 to 175 cm, this set is designed for unisex use and meets the needs of skiers who want to bring race-like dynamics to the slopes.

The Rossignol HERO MASTER ST R22 + SPX14 Bindings Package: A Design Inspired by the World Cup

The structure of the HERO MASTER ST R22 is based on a design philosophy directly derived from the World Cup circuit. The Full Camber profile ensures continuous edge-to-snow contact along the entire length of the ski, promoting crisp lateral grip and lossless power transfer during the push-off phase. LCT (Line Control Technology) incorporates a central power rail that stabilizes the line while maintaining dynamic handling during rapid turns. Added to this is the Full Titanal Layer, a full-length titanium layer that releases the energy accumulated during turns and maintains torsional stiffness even on hard or icy snow.

Materials selected for stiffness and responsiveness

The core of the HERO MASTER ST R22 combines beech and ash wood, two species chosen for their density and their ability to transmit the skier’s impulses without unwanted damping. This wood core is complemented by fiberglass reinforcements that help strike a balance between stiffness and lightness. The Rectangular Full Sidewall construction ensures direct and precise contact between the edge and the snow, resulting in powerful lateral grip, which is particularly noticeable in turns with a steep angle of lean. The tip features Cascade Tip technology, which reduces rotational weight at the front of the ski and improves torsional control during the turn initiation phase.

A plate and base designed for racing performance

The R22 Race Plate positions the SPX14 bindings in a configuration optimized for power transfer to the ski, reducing energy loss between the boot and the base. The Sintered UHD base completes this package by offering maximum glide, a feature appreciated in both training and competition settings. The Oversized Sidecut—wider sidecut lines specific to each length—refining the ski’s natural turning radius: for example, 13 meters for the 165 cm length and 14 meters for the 170 cm length, values consistent with a slalom profile geared toward short turns.
