Located in Alsace, specifically in the Thur Valley, Speck has specialized in the sale of mountaineering equipment for over 50 years.

Where can you find us?

To rent your gear, visit us at our store in Bitschwiller-lès-Thann, in Wittenheim, or at our rental shop located at the Markstein resort in the Vosges.

Please note: Equipment must be returned to the store where it was rented.

Bitschwiller-lès-Thann

If you’re visiting the Thur Valley, meet our team of specialists at 77B Rue des Vosges in Bitschwiller-lès-Thann.

Le Markstein

Our second rental shop is located right at the Markstein resort and offers all the gear you need for winter sports, no matter your skill level.

For a thrill-filled experience, check out our sleds and snowscoots too!

Forgot your gloves? No worries—the shop offers a wide selection of accessories (goggles, sunglasses, helmets, gloves, clothing, and more) for the whole family!

Markstein is located 50 km from Mulhouse and Épinal, and 90 km from Basel and Freiburg im Breisgau.

There are several ways to get there:
- Thann Valley via RD 1066, toward Kruth or Willer-sur-Thur
- Guebwiller Valley via RD 43, toward Buhl

During the ski season, a ski shuttle also serves Markstein.
- Guebwiller Valley (departures from Bollwiller, Soultz, Guebwiller)
- Thur Valley (departures from Cernay, Thann, Saint-Amarin)

Good to know: Show your snow shuttle ticket to receive a 10% discount on:
- A one-day rental at our rental shop at Markstein
- A hot meal at Le Tremplin restaurant
