This men's alpine ski package is designed for competition-level giant slalom racers looking to improve or meet the standards of elite-level racing. The Dynastar SPEED CRS WC GS R22 ski meets FIS certification requirements and pairs with the SPX12 RED binding to form a cohesive setup focused on pure performance. Its rectangular sandwich construction with full sidewalls and full-width double layer of Titanal clearly sets it apart from mass-market piste skis.

The Dynastar SPEED CRS WC GS R22 + SPX12 RED Pack: an uncompromising racing design

The backbone of this ski is a high-density beechwood core, selected for its strength, elasticity, and responsiveness under load. Surrounding this core, the full-width, full-length double layer of Titanal ensures edge stability, shock absorption, and torsional stiffness that meet the intense demands of the giant slalom course. The vertical edges of the rectangular sandwich construction transmit pressure with direct precision, without any loss of energy between the skier’s foot and the snow. The entire structure is built on a full-camber profile that promotes continuous edge grip along the entire length of the ski—an essential requirement for maintaining trajectory during fast turns.

A base and plate designed for competition

The high-density sintered base, known as the Sintered Factory Base, offers superior wax retention compared to a traditional extruded base, resulting in increased durability and consistent glide performance throughout the season. The R22 World Cup plate integrated into the ski raises the binding mounting height—a parameter regulated by the FIS for GS race skis—which directly influences the efficiency of force transmission during turns. The SPX12 RED binding, included in this alpine ski package, rounds out the set with a release value suited for experienced skiers competing on race courses.

Availability and Intended Use

The pack is available in three lengths—170, 175, and 182 cm—to accommodate skiers of different builds and skill levels. The stiff flex and long sidecut characteristic of this model are suited for skiers who already have solid technique on race skis and are capable of fully harnessing the power generated by this type of construction on steep slopes and demanding courses.
