Atomic BACKLAND 89 SL PETROL/GY/ORA Skis

The Atomic Backland 89 SL touring ski is now available at Speck-Sports.

The Backland 89 SL is designed for ski tourers and backcountry skiers looking for a lightweight ski on the ascent that still offers stability and power on the descent. Ideal for ski touring and backcountry adventures, it combines performance, versatility, and comfort.

Specifically, the Backland 89 SL features a poplar and karuba wood core that ensures lightness and agility, while maintaining sufficient stiffness for a controlled descent. The Carbon Backbone structure reinforces the ski, while the All-Terrain Rocker profile and 89 mm waist width offer maneuverability, floatation, and versatility on all types of snow.

HRZN 3D technology increases the contact surface of the tip for better float in powder and optimized maneuverability on variable snow. Atomic has also reduced the environmental impact of this model through increased use of natural wood and less resin and fiberglass, resulting in a reduction of approximately 30% in CO₂ emissions compared to the 2021 Backland 85.

For intermediate and expert backcountry skiers looking for a lightweight, responsive, and versatile ski, the Backland 89 SL Petrol/Grey/Orange will be your best companion for all your mountain adventures.
