Scott Superguide 88 touring skis: lightness on the ascent, control on the descent

The Scott Superguide 88 are touring skis designed for demanding skiers looking for the perfect balance between performance on the ascent and reliability on the descent. A true benchmark in the world of versatile touring skis, this model embodies Scott's expertise in terms of lightness, dynamism, and precision. With a waist width of 88 mm, the Superguide 88 is designed for skiers who want to tackle steep slopes while maintaining a ski that is safe, powerful, and enjoyable to ski on descents.

A construction designed for alpine performance

The Sandwich Tour construction of the Superguide 88 is based on a high-end architecture combining a double wood core of paulownia and poplar. Paulownia guarantees exceptional lightness, ideal for limiting fatigue during long ascents, while denser wood reinforcements ensure excellent stability and dynamic behavior on descents.

This base is reinforced with carbon and aramid fibers, providing rigidity, responsiveness, and precision without adding weight. The addition of fiberglass and Titanal reinforcement further improves the ski's high-speed handling and vibration absorption, for a reassuring ski on hard snow or challenging terrain.

Grip and control along the entire length

Thanks to a full-length lateral construction, the Scott Superguide 88 offers precise and powerful edge grip. This structure guarantees excellent control when traversing, good braking control, and remarkable stability when conditions become more technical.

Revolutionary 3Dimension Touring Sidecut

The Superguide 88 features the new 3Dimension Touring Sidecut, specifically developed to improve ski touring performance. This innovative geometry combines a tip radius and tail radius that promote easy turn initiation, while maintaining a flatter or wider radius zone underfoot.

This intelligent design results in a ski that is both forgiving and high-performance: turn initiation is smooth, while the central section provides stability, power, and precise grip. The result is a ski that tracks efficiently, inspires confidence, and provides a real sense of dynamism, even after a long climb.

Efficiency on the ascent and fun on the descent

Optimized for touring, the Scott Superguide 88 offers quick and easy skin attachment, allowing for efficient transitions in the field. Their lightness is immediately noticeable on the ascent, while their rigid and balanced structure reveals its full potential on well-deserved descents.

Versatile, reliable, and high-performance, the Scott Superguide 88 is designed for ski tourers who want a ski that can handle multiple outings with better tracking, great precision, and true peace of mind, whatever conditions they encounter in the mountains.
