Atomic Backland 89 SL touring skis: lightness and performance

Discover the Atomic Backland 89 SL, a touring ski designed for skiers who want to combine altitude gain with downhill thrills. With its low environmental impact design, this ski combines lightness, maneuverability, and performance on all terrains. The use of poplar wood, reduced fiberglass and resin, and optimized edges reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30% compared to the Backland 85 (2021), without compromising on durability or skiing pleasure.

Versatility and easier ascent

The Backland 89 SL excels on the ascent thanks to its poplar/caruba core and HRZN 3D, which increases the gliding surface, offering lightness and floatation in deep snow. Its all-terrain profile, combining wood and natural fiberglass, improves traction and maneuverability, allowing you to move quickly and efficiently in the mountains.

Stability and downhill fun

On the descent, the rigidity reinforced by the carbon Backbone guarantees excellent edge grip and precise response. The All-Mountain 15/85/0 rocker and 89 mm width allow for total adaptation to all types of snow and terrain, while the 87° side edge angle and 1° base angle ensure easy maneuverability with optimal grip in turns.

High-end finishes

The glossy coating gives the ski a premium, sleek and smooth look, while Cap Sidewall technology enhances the durability and strength of the structure. To complete your equipment, choose Atomic PreFit skins, ideal for maximizing your touring performance.

In short, the Atomic Backland 89 SL is the ideal ski for serious touring enthusiasts looking for a lightweight, fast, stable, and environmentally friendly ski. It combines performance, comfort, and maneuverability to accompany you on all your alpine adventures.
