Designed for young skiers and snowboarders, the Rossignol FLEXVENT VEST JR is a unisex junior back protector designed to fit discreetly under standard gear while providing targeted protection for the spine. Its lightweight, slim design, combined with a high-density foam back panel, makes it a discreet yet technically structured piece of gear. It’s ideal for kids seeking complete freedom of movement, whether in competition or during everyday use on the slopes.

Back Protection and Certification: What the FLEXVENT VEST JR Guarantees

The back panel of the FLEXVENT VEST JR features a multi-layered, high-density protective foam integrated into a DCLAN panel. This construction meets the European standard EN 1621, Level 1, with CE certification, which attests to a level of impact resistance defined by current standards. It’s important to remember that protective gear reduces risk but does not eliminate it. The back panel is removable, allowing for easy maintenance of the vest without any special constraints. Silicone straps help keep the vest securely in place during physical activity.

A vest designed to remain invisible under ski layers

The slim, stretchy fit of the FLEXVENT VEST JR allows it to fit comfortably under a racing suit or standard ski layers. The main fleece fabric, combined with stretch mesh panels, wicks away moisture to minimize discomfort from sweat during prolonged exertion. The full-length zipper makes it easy to put on and take off, even while wearing gloves. The Velcro-adjustable waistband allows for a custom fit based on the child’s body type, with sizes available from ages 10 to 14. The removable hip pads provide additional side protection without adding bulk: the vest weighs a modest 400 grams.

Versatility and RZ Labs Technology

Designed for skiing and snowboarding, the FLEXVENT VEST JR is also suitable for mountain biking, extending its use beyond the winter season. RZ Labs technology, developed by the brand, is incorporated into the design of the protective materials to optimize shock absorption while maintaining the gear’s flexibility. This approach allows young wearers to move naturally, without any noticeable stiffness in the back or shoulders.
