Designed for skiers who refuse to compromise between efficient climbing and aggressive descents, the K2 Wayback 106 is the top choice for powder-oriented ski touring. Its 106 mm waist width and modern shape offer remarkable float in deep snow, while maintaining excellent maneuverability when conditions get tough.

Thanks to their lightweight, technical construction, these skis are perfectly suited to long skinning trips, where every gram counts. But once you start your descent, they reveal their full power and stability, delivering sensations worthy of a freeride ski.

Downhill performance, lightweight on the ascent

The Wayback 106 features Ti Spyne technology, a Titanal laminate specifically developed for K2 touring skis. This construction significantly improves shock absorption, stability, and grip on hard snow, while keeping weight under control.

The Carbon Overdrive reinforcement, combined with unidirectional carbon fibers, guarantees excellent energy transfer and precision, even at high speeds. The result is a reliable, predictable, and playful ski, whatever the conditions.

A ski designed for all conditions

The All-Terrain Rocker ensures optimal versatility. The progressive rocker at the tip makes it easier to float in powder, while the flatter tail provides control and safety at the end of the turn. The long radius promotes large, fluid turns, ideal in open terrain.

The Paulownia core, a wood known for its excellent weight-to-strength ratio, offers dynamic and consistent flex. Combined with Bio-Resin, it guarantees consistent performance in all temperatures, while reducing environmental impact.

Technical details designed for touring

The Snophobic™ coating limits snow accumulation on the ski during ascents, maintaining a consistent weight and improving comfort on long climbs.
