An FIS racing helmet designed for competition

The Rossignol HERO GIANT FIS TIGER ski helmet is designed for competitors who demand the best from their gear on speed runs. FIS-certified and compliant with FIS RH 2013 regulations, it meets the requirements for World Cup races, making it the go-to choice for alpine skiers competing in giant slalom and speed disciplines. Its carefully engineered aerodynamic profile reduces drag to enhance racing performance. Inspired by Olympic champion Federica Brignone’s signature model, the HERO GIANT FIS TIGER combines high-performance standards with a robust construction.

Construction and Certifications: World Cup-Approved

The 3 mm ABS outer shell , combined with an injected EPS liner, gives the helmet proven impact resistance, suitable for the extreme conditions of competition. This hardshell construction ensures greater durability compared to in-mold constructions—a decisive advantage when the helmet is subjected to repeated impacts or intense racing conditions. The Rossignol HERO GIANT FIS TIGER is certified to CE EN 1077 and ASTM F 2040, two international standards that attest to its level of protection. Its compliance with FIS RH 2013 regulations qualifies it for official World Cup competitions. Its weight of 580 g reflects the sturdiness of its construction without compromising the low profile sought after in racing.

Performance-Oriented Fit and Comfort

The HERO GIANT FIS TIGER features a Race Fit design engineered for a firm and precise fit—essential for competition. Here are the key components of this fit and comfort system:

• Fixed 3D ear pads: conform to the shape of the skull for a stable fit at high speeds.
• Sound channels integrated into the ear pads: allow you to remain aware of your surroundings while racing.
• Micrometric buckle: offers precise chin strap adjustment to secure the helmet without guesswork.
• Chin guard compatibility: the helmet is compatible with a chin guard (sold separately) to meet FIS requirements for speed disciplines.

Ventilation and Aerodynamic Profile

The helmet’s integrated ventilation system ensures sufficient airflow to maintain thermal comfort during long runs or while waiting at the top of the course. The helmet’s aerodynamic profile is designed to reduce air resistance, directly contributing to faster race times. These two features are designed to work in tandem: airflow is managed so as not to compromise the helmet’s overall aerodynamic profile.

For alpine skiers competing in races or looking to equip themselves with a ski helmet that meets FIS circuit standards, the Rossignol HERO GIANT FIS TIGER is a technical helmet that meets the demands of racing, suitable for both training and official, sanctioned events.
