At the heart of the jacket is the 3-layer VENTURI® membrane, which boasts a water column rating of 20,000 mm and a breathability rating of 20,000 g/m²/24h (MVTR). These specifications place the Cascata in the category of high-performance hardshells, capable of withstanding heavy rain while wicking away body moisture during strenuous ascents. The seams are fully taped with a high-performance membrane, eliminating any risk of water seepage at the seams. Water-repellent zippers complete this overall waterproofing, including at the pockets and the front closure, which is continuous and lined to enhance protection against wind and rain.

The Cascata features two-way stretch fabric that allows for a wide range of motion, whether during technical mountaineering sections or on long hiking stretches. The absence of seams on the sides and shoulders reduces pressure points—a detail particularly appreciated when wearing a backpack. The attached hood can be adjusted with one hand to quickly adapt to the desired volume without having to stop. Under the arms, easily accessible ventilation zippers allow you to regulate your body temperature without having to take off the jacket. Adjustable Velcro cuffs and a drawcord at the hem fine-tune the fit depending on conditions.

Materials and Environmental Commitments

The entire construction—outer fabric, lining, and membrane—is made from 100% recycled polyester, which reduces the environmental impact of manufacturing compared to virgin materials. The water-repellent treatment is certified PFAS-free—fluorinated compounds with documented environmental and health impacts. The jacket is also produced in accordance with the Fair Wear Foundation’s standards, which regulate social conditions in garment factories. Care is simple: machine wash on a delicate cycle at 30°C.
