Designed for men who hike and enjoy outdoor activities in challenging weather conditions, the Schöffel 2L Jacket Style Refoca MEN combines reliable waterproof protection with targeted thermal insulation. Its 2-layer Dermizax®EV membrane, with a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm and a breathability rating of 20,000 MVTR, ensures a balance between protection from the elements and moisture wicking. Weighing just 510 grams, it remains a compact option for demanding winter outings.

Protection and Breathability: The Dermizax®EV Membrane at the Heart of the 2L Jacket Style Refoca MEN

The 100% nylon outer fabric is combined with a 100% polyurethane membrane to form an effective shield against rain and wind. Fully taped seams reinforce this waterproofing throughout the jacket, leaving no weak points. The Regular Fit and the two-way stretch built into the fabric allow for true freedom of movement, without restricting the natural motions required for hiking on varied terrain. The underarm ventilation zippers, easily accessible even while on the move, help regulate body temperature during sustained exertion.

Thermal insulation designed for winter conditions

PrimaLoft® Evolve/Active insulation is strategically placed across key areas of the body, delivering warmth where it’s needed most while keeping the jacket lightweight overall. This targeted approach prevents overheating in highly active areas, such as the arms, where the polyester lining—97% of which is made from recycled materials—ensures both comfort and environmental responsibility. The adjustable hood with chin guard completes this thermal protection in the coldest conditions.

Practicality and Sustainable Design

The jacket features a full range of pockets: two zippered front pockets, a chest pocket, and interior pockets meet everyday hiking needs. The adjustable Velcro cuffs allow you to customize the fit depending on conditions or the gloves you’re wearing. The jacket is PFAS-free, in compliance with current chemical regulations, and is certified by the Fair Wear Foundation, which ensures that working conditions throughout the production chain are monitored. The 74 cm back length ensures sufficient coverage for wide-ranging movements while wearing hiking gear.
