Designed for women who hike and enjoy outdoor activities in cold, rainy weather, the Patagonia W'S INSULATED BOULDER FORK RAIN stands out for its dual promise: high-performance waterproofing and lightweight insulation in a single garment. It’s designed for women who don’t want to choose between protection from the elements and freedom of movement, whether on the trail or in changeable winter conditions.

Complete protection from the elements with the W'S INSULATED BOULDER FORK RAIN

The shell of this rain jacket features a 3-layer construction incorporating H2No® Performance Standard technology, which ensures high levels of waterproofing and wind resistance. The durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment, applied without intentionally added PFAS, allows water to bead up and run off as soon as it comes into contact with the fabric. The full-length front zipper is completely waterproof, eliminating one of the most common points of water ingress on this type of garment. The low-profile hood, featuring a laminated brim and a single-pull adjustment, can be quickly adjusted without interrupting your activity. The minimalist, hook-and-loop-adjustable cuffs provide an adjustable seal at the wrists, while the drawcord at the hem—accessible from inside the front pockets—allows you to tighten the fit in gusty conditions.

Lightweight insulation designed for activity

Beneath the protective shell, 40 grams of Thermogreen® made from 100% recycled polyester provides just the right amount of warmth without weighing down the garment or restricting movement. This level of insulation is suitable for cool to cold temperatures encountered during mountain outings or fall hikes, without causing overheating during moderate exertion. The lightweight, breathable, and stretchy ripstop lining made from recycled polyester moves with you effortlessly and helps wick away residual moisture.

Sustainable Materials and Certified Manufacturing

The outer shell is made of 30-denier ripstop fabric made from 100% recycled polyester, a material that combines lightness with resistance to light abrasion. The lining fabrics are bluesign® approved, ensuring they meet strict criteria for resource and chemical management throughout their production. The jacket is manufactured in a Fair Trade Certified™ facility, meaning that the workers involved in its production benefit from regulated working conditions. The fabric, membrane, and DWR finishes are all produced without intentionally added PFAS, a commitment that addresses both environmental sustainability and the health of the users.
