Designed for women who take on winter without compromise, the Mammut Treeline HS Thermo Hooded Parka Women combines serious waterproof protection with down insulation for cold, wet days. Its relaxed fit and generous length make this parka just as comfortable in the mountains as it is for everyday winter wear. Two features set it apart right away: a PFC-free GORE-TEX ePE membrane and a 700 cuin recycled down fill.

Weather Protection: The GORE-TEX ePE Membrane at the Heart of the Treeline HS Thermo Hooded Parka for Women

The 2-layer GORE-TEX outer shell with an ePE membrane offers waterproofing rated at 28,000 mm water column, providing effective protection against heavy precipitation. This same membrane provides breathability of 28,000 g/m², allowing body vapor to escape even during moderate exertion. Fully taped seams prevent water from seeping in at the seams—an area where conventional waterproof garments often fail. The ePE composition also stands out for the absence of PFCs in its water-repellent treatment, a feature consistent with the product’s Bluesign certification.

Thermal insulation designed for extreme cold

Beneath the protective shell, the insulation consists of 700 cuin recycled down, composed of 80% gray duck down and 20% gray duck feathers. The 700 cuin fill power indicates strong heat retention for winter temperatures, while keeping the parka’s bulk to a minimum. The use of recycled and upcycled materials—for both the down filling and the recycled polyamide lining—is part of an effort to reduce the product’s material footprint.

Precise adjustments to adapt to conditions

The hood features two adjustment points to contour to the face depending on wind strength or precipitation. The two-way front zipper allows for easy ventilation adjustments without removing the parka, and the storm flap with snap buttons enhances waterproofing at the front. Both the waist and hem feature drawstrings to block cold air from entering at the bottom. Adjustable cuffs complete this thermal management system by eliminating gaps between the parka and gloves. Weighing 850 g with a center back length of 81 cm, the parka effectively covers the hips for extended protection.
