The Elan ACE SC5 W Shift X is a women’s alpine ski designed to help skiers improve their carving skills while maintaining a stable and accessible ride. Elan describes it as the easiest-to-handle model in its ACE women’s line, specifically designed for skiers looking to improve who want to link turns with greater ease.
In the 151 cm length, it features a 125-72-106 mm sidecut for an 11.5 m turn radius, making it a relatively agile ski for on-piste turns. Its camber profile and RST Racing Sidewall construction promote snow contact and force transfer to the edges.
The ski features a Power Woodcore, combined with a Mono Ti reinforcement, as well as Active Suspension Drive and TractionTip technologies. The Mono Ti provides a metal reinforcement designed to improve the ski’s stability and responsiveness, while the TractionTip is designed to make it easier to initiate turns.
The sintered base rounds out the package, while the Shift X platform features the EL 9.0 GW SHIFT binding, with a DIN range of 2.5 to 9.
