The Head SHAPE CX R + PR 10 GW Pack: A Design Built for Progress

LYT Tech technology relies on the combination of graphene and Karuba wood within a synthetic core. This combination of materials reduces the ski’s weight while maintaining sufficient stiffness to guide the skier’s weight distribution. As a reference, a 163 cm ski weighs 2,450 g. The result is a more maneuverable ski, particularly when initiating edge-to-edge transitions. ERA 3.0 technology rounds out this design by enhancing maneuverability and rebound when exiting turns, making it easier to link turns on blue and red runs.

A tip profile suited to varied slopes

The Allride rocker, positioned at the tip, provides better lift and increased control in the various snow conditions encountered on the slopes. With a tip width of 128 mm, a waist width of 70 mm, and a tail width of 108 mm, the ski’s geometry promotes solid grip on groomed snow while remaining accessible to a beginner skier. The 12.4-meter turning radius, measured on the reference size, naturally guides the ski toward short to medium turns, consistent with on-piste use focused on progression. The UHM C structured base rounds out the profile by providing smooth glide.

Integrated PR 10 GW bindings for broad compatibility

The PR 10 GW bindings are adjustable over a DIN range of 3 to 10, covering a wide range of body types and skill levels. Base compatibility ranges from 259 to 382 mm, and the GripWalk system allows for the use of both classic alpine ski boots and models with GripWalk soles. The Full Diagonal toe piece, the AFS anti-friction toe piece, and the SX toe piece with TRP system work together to provide consistent boot retention, while the Power-Rail system ensures a secure connection between the ski and the binding. This pack is available in 163- and 170-cm sizes, designed to accommodate different body types for alpine skiing.
