Rossignol HERO JR 100-140 Ski Set + KID4 Bindings

Designed for young beginner to intermediate skiers, the Rossignol HERO JR 100-140 + KID4 Bindings package combines a lightweight on-piste ski with bindings tailored for junior skiers. The set supports progression on groomed runs and in learning areas by making it easy to learn how to turn and providing edge control right from the very first runs. Two features stand out: the ski’s CAP construction, which promotes durability and ease of use, and the KID 4 GripWalk bindings, designed for comfort and easy entry.

The HERO JR 100-140 + KID4 package: a geometry designed to speed up learning

The HERO JR ski features a Junior Rocker / On-Trail Rocker profile: the traditional camber spans 90% of the ski’s length to ensure power and grip on groomed snow, while a subtle rocker at the tip over the remaining 10% makes it easier to initiate turns and reduces the risk of the ski locking up during the learning phase. For the 130 cm length, the sidecut measures 108-67-94 mm with a 10 m turning radius—geometry well-suited for beginner on-piste skiing. The junior flex, which is supple and progressive, adapts to the child’s build so that every turn feels intuitive and controllable.

A lightweight construction for fatigue-free days on the slopes

The HERO JR’s CAP construction means the topsheet extends from one edge to the other without distinct vertical sidewalls: the ski gains greater resistance to everyday impacts while remaining easy to use. The HD Core / Composite Core, reinforced with fiberglass, keeps the weight low—about 0.9 kg per half-pair for the 130 cm length. This lightness translates to less muscle fatigue at the end of the day, a real advantage for children who are still physically developing.

KID4 GripWalk bindings designed for junior and adult boots

The KID 4 GripWalk bindings weigh approximately 450 g per half-pair and have a sole height of 27 mm. Their GripWalk® technology ensures compatibility with shoes featuring rounded soles, whether they meet ISO 5355 C and A standards (traditional boots) or the GripWalk Junior ISO 23223 C and GripWalk Adult ISO 23223 A standards. The Easy Step-in/Step-out system simplifies putting on and taking off the boots, a real advantage for children who often put on their boots by themselves on the snow. The multidirectional release helps reduce stress on the joints in the event of a fall.

• Available sizes: 100, 110, and 120 cm, to accommodate a child’s growth over several seasons.
