A lightweight, athletic women’s hiking boot for a variety of adventures

The Salomon GENESIS MID GTX W hiking boots are part of the WINTER collection while retaining a design inspired by trail running models, making them an attractive option for hikers who like to maintain a brisk pace. With a mid-cut upper, they provide foot and ankle support that allows for a smooth stride. Weighing 346 g per shoe, they maintain a noticeably lightweight feel during long days of hiking. Thanks to their synthetic and textile construction, paired with a textile lining, these hiking boots prioritize a combination of support, comfort, and a modern upper design.

Waterproof Protection and Internal Comfort for Hiking

The inclusion of a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane provides a reliable barrier against moisture, which is useful when hiking in changeable weather or on wet terrain. This membrane is integrated into an upper made of synthetic and textile materials, complemented by a textile lining to evenly envelop the foot. Inside, the molded OrthoLite® insole is designed to enhance comfort by providing additional support over time. The forefoot sole height of 30.5 mm and the heel sole height of 38.5 mm, combined with an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop, create a midsole platform that emphasizes cushioning while maintaining a natural stride during hikes.

Dynamic cushioning, stability, and traction on all terrains

To support extended hikes, the optiFOAM midsole provides dynamic cushioning designed to absorb impacts while maintaining responsiveness underfoot. activeCHASSIS™ technology enhances the shoe’s overall stability, which is particularly useful when the terrain becomes uneven or when navigating a series of ascents and descents. The quickLACE™ lacing system allows for quick and even tightening. Underfoot, the All-Terrain Contagrip® rubber outsole is designed to provide versatile traction on a variety of surfaces—whether dry or loose—helping you maintain control during frequent changes in terrain while hiking.

A technical mid-cut design for winter hiking

The mid-cut design of the Salomon GENESIS MID GTX W hiking boots provides extra support while allowing sufficient freedom of movement to maintain a natural, athletic stride. The WINTER profile in the collection highlights their focus on cold-weather use, complemented by the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane that helps you tackle wet or snowy soil. The BLACK/DAWN PINK/LILAC ASH colorway adds a bold visual touch for women who want to combine technical performance with a polished aesthetic while hiking. All of these technical features are designed to support women’s hiking that prioritizes versatility and durability.

The Salomon GENESIS MID GTX W hiking boots offer an athletic approach to winter hiking, combining a GORE-TEX membrane, an All-Terrain Contagrip® outsole, and optiFOAM cushioning in a mid-cut upper designed specifically for female hikers.
