The Faction Dancer 79 Ti is an alpine ski designed for intermediate-to-advanced and expert skiers looking for a dynamic carving experience on groomed runs. With a waist width of 79 mm and a Rocker/Camber/Rocker profile, it combines solid grip on hard snow with flexibility for easy turn initiation. Its construction, featuring Titanal and a poplar wood core, provides exceptional stability at high speeds without sacrificing agility. The result is a ski that’s both playful and precise, tailored to maximize the potential of groomed runs.

A piste ski designed for carving and dynamic turns

The Faction Dancer 79 Ti is designed for skiers who want to tackle groomed runs with commitment and precision. Its preferred terrain remains the groomed run, though its profile allows it to occasionally venture off the beaten path, including into moguls. With a flex rating of 8/10, it demands real physical effort and rewards skiers who can apply firm pressure to their edges. The intended feel is that of a lively ski that responds immediately to input while remaining stable as speed increases.

Dimensions and radius: a profile designed for precise carving

The dimensions of 118/79/107 mm (for the 178 cm model) define a ski with balanced geometry—narrow enough at the waist to ensure effective grip on hard snow, without being a strict race ski. The 17-meter turning radius (for the 178 cm model) places this ski in the medium-radius category: neither too short for long, high-speed turns nor too long for rapid, consecutive turns on the groomed run. Elliptical Sidecut technology helps adjust this radius based on the pressure applied, offering a certain versatility in turn shape without straying from groomed runs.

Profile and grip: rocker at the tip and tail, active camber in the center

The Rocker/Camber/Rocker profile of the Dancer 79 Ti places the camber in the center of the ski, where edge grip is most critical for carving. The rocker zones at the tip and tail make it easier to initiate and exit turns, reducing the effort required to start each turn. This hybrid profile is well-suited for on-piste use: the central contact area remains firm and precise on hard snow, while the raised tips prevent the ski from catching unintentionally during transitions. The 2.5 mm XL edges enhance grip on compact and icy snow.

Construction: poplar and Titanal core for stability and shock absorption

The construction of the Faction Dancer 79 Ti is based on several technical elements, the main benefits of which are as follows:

• Poplar wood core: a lightweight, responsive material that faithfully transmits terrain feedback while absorbing some of the vibrations.
• Dual Span Titanal: Two thin sheets of Titanal provide isotropic strength—that is, uniform rigidity in all directions—which translates to increased stability at high speeds.
• Moustache Flex: This technology provides stability underfoot while allowing for progressive flex at the tip and tail, resulting in smooth transitions and a more forgiving ski in the event of an imperfect stance.
• Full Strength Sidewall and Micro-Cap Anti-Chip: These protectivefeatures enhance the ski’s durability against impacts and opposing edges.

Note that this ski is manufactured in Austria using processes powered 100% by renewable energy and incorporating recycled materials.

Available in lengths of 158, 166, and 172 cm, the Faction Dancer 79 Ti is suitable for intermediate-to-advanced skiers looking to progress to an expert level in alpine skiing, as well as for experts seeking a precise and responsive ski to fully exploit groomed runs. Its combination of stiffness, edge grip, and progressive flex makes it a logical choice for those who carve regularly and want a responsive ski that doesn’t compromise on stability.
