Faction DANCER 79 TI Skis

The Faction Dancer 79 Ti is a pure-piste alpine ski designed for advanced to expert skiers seeking crisp edge grip and solid stability on hard snow. With a waist width of 79 mm, it carves cleanly on groomed runs without trying to do it all: it excels where precision and power are required. Its flex rating of 8 out of 10 makes it ideal for a committed skier capable of loading the ski and taking full advantage of its stiffness. The Dancer 79 Ti’s promise is simple: direct handling, impeccable edge grip, and energy transfer with no loss.

A piste ski built for aggressive skiing on hard snow

The Faction Dancer 79 Ti is designed for groomed runs—those compact surfaces where grip and torsional stability make all the difference. Its 79 mm waist width provides precise contact with the snow, favoring sharp turns rather than float in off-piste conditions. With a 17-meter turning radius for the 178 cm length, it produces medium-radius turns, ideal for dynamic skiing on red or black runs. The elliptical sidecut offers a wide range of turn lengths depending on the angle of lean, providing true versatility in transition between turns.

Construction: wood core and dual Titanal layers for power and shock absorption

The Dancer 79 Ti’s construction is based on technical choices consistent with its demanding on-piste performance. Here are the key structural elements that define its behavior:

• Poplar wood core: a lightweight, responsive material that transmits the skier’s movements with agility while absorbing vibrations on uneven snow.
• Double Titanal strips: These metal reinforcements increase torsional stiffness and ensure stable edge grip at high speeds or on variable snow conditions.
• Full Sidewall construction: the full-length sidewall improves force transmission to the edge and enhances the overall durability of the ski.
• 2.5 mm XL Edges: Edges that are thicker than standard, offering greater resistance to wear and more effective grip on hard or icy snow.

Rocker-Camber-Rocker Profile and Progressive Flat Tail Technology

The Faction Dancer 79 Ti’s profile combines rocker at the tip and tail with a central camber—a configuration that makes it easier to initiate turns and release pressure without sacrificing grip underfoot. The Mustache flex, which is progressive at the tip and tail, absorbs bumps on the run and makes initiating turns more intuitive, even at a brisk pace. The Progressive Flat Tail technology deserves special attention: it combines the stability and speed of a traditional flat tail with a slight rear rocker, designed to facilitate pivots and dynamic turn exits without destabilizing the line.

The Faction Dancer 79 Ti is designed for advanced to expert skiers who primarily ski on groomed runs and want a precise, stable, and engaging ski. Available in lengths from 166 to 184 cm, it caters to a wide range of body types and on-piste skiing styles. If your preferred terrain is marked-out slopes and you’re looking to take your skiing to the next level in terms of precision and speed, this ski deserves serious consideration.
