Access to the main compartment is via a 270° rear zipper, allowing you to lay the pack flat and reach all of its contents without having to empty everything out. A front pocket dedicated to avalanche safety gear allows you to store this type of equipment separately and find it quickly, without mixing it with the rest of the contents. The pack also features an internal compartment designed to accommodate a Mammut back protector (sold separately), offering the option to enhance back protection according to each user’s needs.

The Nirvana 28 features a built-in helmet loop, which is handy for times when the helmet isn’t being worn. A goggle compartment lined with soft fabric protects the lenses from scratches during transport. Compatibility with a hydration system and attachments for an ice axe and hiking poles expand its range of uses, from ski touring to more technical outings. An SOS label with emergency instructions is also included—a discreet yet useful detail in case of an unexpected situation in the mountains.

The pack is constructed from a fabric composed of 90% polyamide and 10% polyester, incorporating recycled materials. The PFC-free DWR treatment provides water resistance without the use of perfluorinated substances, in accordance with bluesign® label requirements. The bag also meets Fair Wear criteria, guaranteeing socially responsible manufacturing conditions.
