The Nitro TEAM WIDE is an all-mountain snowboard designed for riders with larger feet who refuse to compromise on performance. With a design focused on freestyle dominance across all terrains, this board is aimed at intermediate-to-advanced and expert riders who can harness its full potential both on groomed runs and off-piste. The promise is clear: power, precise edge control, and versatility, whether you’re on big rails, side hits, or in powder.

An all-mountain design tailored for freedom on the terrain

The Nitro TEAM WIDE isn’t limited to a single type of terrain. Its versatile design makes it a board capable of meeting the demands of aggressive freestyle while remaining comfortable on groomed runs. Whether you’re tackling big rails, natural side hits, or venturing into powder, this board responds to every move with precision. Its Directional Twin shape offers symmetry suitable for riding switch while maintaining a slight directional bias that enhances downhill performance and provides confident edge grip.

Flex and Camber: Uncompromising Responsiveness and Engagement

The TEAM WIDE features a medium-stiff flex, rated 7 out of 10 on the Nitro scale. This level of stiffness is no small matter: it means the board responds sharply to input, with no wobble or lack of precision on the edges. This profile is ideal for riders who already have speed in their legs and are looking for a board capable of holding its own at high speeds as well as during aggressive tricks. The camber profile chosen is Trüe Camber, a traditional continuous camber that maximizes contact with the snow, generates natural pop on takeoff, and offers crisp edge grip throughout the turn. This technical choice clearly positions the board for riders who want to feel the snow beneath their feet and ride with precision.

Construction: Structured Lightweight Design and Power Transfer

The construction of the Nitro TEAM WIDE is based on several technical elements that work together to combine responsiveness and durability. Here are the key components of this design:

• Powerlite Core made of poplar: a lightweight wood that reduces overall weight while maintaining good structural stiffness.
• Reflex core profile: thinner between the feet, it improves maneuverability and increases torsional flex for more expressive turns.
• Carbon strip: integrated lengthwise, it reinforces the board and ensures direct power transfer from the feet to the edges.
• Sintered Speed Formula HD base: a high-density sintered base that absorbs wax better and maintains high-performance glide over time.
• Recycled steel edges: Sturdy and durable, they guarantee reliable grip on hard snow or ice.

Width and Setup: Designed for larger foot sizes

The feature that most clearly distinguishes the Nitro TEAM WIDE from the standard version is its wider platform, specifically designed for riders with larger feet. This extra width eliminates toe and heel rubbing against the snow—a common problem for riders with large feet on a standard board. The result is enhanced riding comfort and more direct power transfer, without compromising responsiveness. The board is compatible with standard 4-hole bindings, ensuring broad compatibility with the most common mounting systems on the market. It is available in lengths of 159 and 162 cm to accommodate different body types.

The Nitro TEAM WIDE stands out as a solid choice for intermediate-to-advanced or expert riders who wear larger boots and enjoy aggressive snowboarding on all types of terrain. Its traditional camber, medium-stiff flex, and specific width make it a reliable and effective board, with no compromises, for those who want to perform equally well on the slopes, in freestyle areas, or off-piste.
