The Salomon Huck Knife snowboard is a unisex board designed for experienced riders who primarily ride in the freestyle park. Its symmetrical True Twin shape and Quad Camber profile make it a well-rounded tool for stringing together jumps, landings, and rail runs, whether riding switch or in the regular stance. Two features clearly set it apart: explosive pop generated by its carbon stringers, and a construction that incorporates partially bio-based materials.

A Quad Camber profile optimized for freestyle park riding

The Quad Camber profile combines rocker zones at the tip and tail with camber zones underfoot. In practice, this design offers both the maneuverability of a rocker profile for initiating spins and riding switch, and the precision of a classic camber profile for locking in on rails and generating power off jumps. The medium flex, rated at 6 out of 10, maintains enough stiffness for technical maneuvers without compromising responsiveness during quick transitions. The EQ Rad sidecut rounds out the package by providing a consistent radius along the entire length of the board, which ensures consistent board feel regardless of the angle of lean.

The Salomon Huck Knife’s Popster Booster technology

The Aspen SLCT core is composed of hand-selected wood strips, a process designed to ensure consistency and lightness from one board to the next. This core is milled underfoot to lighten the structure in areas where weight is least needed. The carbon stringers integrated into the Popster Booster laminates channel the energy accumulated during flex to deliver a lively rebound, which is particularly noticeable during ollies and kicker jumps. Surrounding this core, Triax fiberglass and BA MD fiberglass provide the torsional strength and lateral stiffness necessary for precise edge grip. The sintered base absorbs wax more effectively and offers long-lasting glide, a tangible advantage for regular sessions in the snow park.

Sustainable Materials and Finishes

The Huck Knife’s sidewalls feature Royal Rubber Pads in high-pressure zones—rubber inserts that absorb vibrations transmitted by rails and hard landings. The edges are beveled at 2° at the tip and tail, and 3° between the feet—a freestyle-oriented configuration that reduces unwanted snagging on flat terrain while maintaining sufficient bite on active edges. The 30% organic resin and FSC-certified wood core reflect a commitment to reducing environmental impact that is integrated right from the design stage.
