Salomon GRAIL Snowboard Bundle + GoodTime XS Bindings

The Salomon GRAIL snowboard pack + GoodTime XS bindings is designed to support young riders as they take their first steps on the slopes. Designed for junior beginners and intermediate riders, this pack combines a forgiving, easy-to-handle board with lightweight, adjustable bindings, ensuring that progress is made while having fun. Its versatile all-mountain design is equally suited to groomed runs and first forays off the marked trails. The combination of the Grail and GoodTime XS serves a clear purpose: to make learning to snowboard easier without restricting the young rider’s technique.

A board designed for quick learning and confident progress

The Salomon GRAIL + GoodTime XS bindings feature a True Twin shape, meaning the board is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail. This geometry allows for riding equally well in both regular and switch stances, which is ideal for exploring all types of on-piste conditions and developing a balanced technique from the very beginning. The Super Flat profile provides a uniform contact surface with the snow, resulting in great stability and increased tolerance for mistakes in weight distribution—a valuable asset for a beginner rider.

Soft flex and forgiving construction for an immediate feel

With a flex rating of 2 out of 10, the Grail is one of the softest boards in its category. This level of flex reduces resistance to movement and forgives technical inaccuracies, allowing young riders to focus on their sensations rather than on the force they need to apply. The core is made of Aspen, a lightweight and responsive wood, and is crafted using the Popster construction: the core is strategically milled to optimize both flex and energy return, or “pop.” BA LD fibers round out the design by adding lightness without sacrificing stability. The ABS sidewalls ensure the board’s durability against everyday impacts. The Bite Free edges, located at the ends of the board, reduce the risk of accidental snagging, making turns smoother and less stressful for a beginner. The extruded Bowl Skate base, treated with a natural, paraffin-free wax and a standard stone-ground finish, is easy to maintain.

Lightweight, adjustable, and comfortable GoodTime XS bindings

GoodTime XS bindings are designed to adapt to the rapid growth of young riders. Here are the key features that make them ideal for this audience:

• Tool-free strap adjustments: quick adjustments at the edge of the slopes, without additional equipment, to save time during every session.
• Adjustable GoodTime highback: The rear support adapts to the rider’s body type and skill level for better, progressive control.
• 2D Prime ankle strap and Lock-In toe strap: precise foot support that limits unwanted movement and improves power transfer.
• Pact EVA pads: Strategically positioned under the foot, they absorb vibrations and enhance comfort over time.
• 30% fiberglass-reinforced nylon composite baseplate: Lightweight and rigid, it ensures efficient energy transfer between the foot and the board.

Mounting and Compatibility: A Universal Solution

The pack uses a standard and widely adopted 2x4 mounting system, which offers multiple spacing and angle options to customize the stance according to the rider’s body type. The universal disc on the GoodTime XS bindings makes them compatible with all major snowboard mounting systems, ensuring great flexibility as your gear evolves. The GoodTime XS bindings are sized for boot sizes ranging from 30.5 to 34.5 EUR (19 to 22 in Mondopoint), a range suited to the feet of young junior riders.

The Salomon GRAIL snowboard + GoodTime XS binding pack is designed for young riders who are just starting out or improving on the slopes, looking for a cohesive, lightweight, and easy-to-adjust setup. The combination of a forgiving twin shape, a very flexible flex, and tool-free adjustable bindings makes it a logical choice to support a season of learning from start to finish, on groomed runs as well as in varied terrain.
