Nitro COSMIC bindings are designed for female snowboarders looking for a versatile binding that can support their progression throughout the entire ski area. Designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experts, they feature a medium flex rated at 6 out of 10—forgiving enough to absorb riding mistakes while delivering precise power transfer. Their classic strap-in system ensures reliable support and a personalized fit for every ride. The entire design is built to withstand demanding all-mountain riding over the long term, with comfort engineered for a full day on the slopes.

A medium flex that suits all female snowboarders

With a flex rating of 6, the Nitro COSMIC bindings strike a middle ground that suits both improving snowboarders and experienced riders looking for a responsive binding without excessive stiffness. This flex level offers appreciable forgiveness in a variety of situations—including linked turns, groomed snow, or technical sections—while ensuring efficient power transfer from your feet to the board. This balance between flexibility and responsiveness makes the COSMIC a great binding for regular all-mountain riding, without sacrificing comfort for performance.

Straps designed for women’s support and comfort

The Nitro COSMIC’s support system relies on a selection of straps designed for comfort and precision. Here are the key components that form the basis of this support:

• Premium Comfort / 3D OptiFrame Comfort Ankle Strap: conforms to the shape of the foot for a snug, pressure-point-free fit.
• B.E.S.T. Convertible / Übergrip toe strap: adapts to different boot configurations and ensures precise lockdown of the forefoot.
• Aluminum Speedwheel buckles: allow for quick and reliable strap adjustment, even while wearing gloves.
• Easy Entry buckles and ratchets: make it easy to step in and out of the binding for comfortable everyday use.

The high-quality polyurethane ankle strap contributes to the overall durability of the binding while maintaining flexibility to adapt to the female anatomy.

Baseplate and cushioning: a women’s-specific design adapted to the terrain

The baseplate of COSMIC bindings features a 3°-angled sole, specifically designed for the female anatomy, to optimize the foot’s natural position and reduce fatigue during long sessions. The EVA cushioning absorbs vibrations and impacts from the terrain, maintaining joint comfort throughout the day. The asymmetrical women’s spoiler complements this system by adapting the forward lean to the shape of the female calf, promoting a natural forward stance and precise edge control without excessive strain.

Universal compatibility thanks to the 2x4 mini disc

Nitro COSMIC bindings are equipped with a universal 2x4 mini disc featuring Angle Lock technology, compatible with standard 2x4 inserts and Channel systems. This mini disc offers the practical advantage of reducing the impact on the board’s natural flex, thereby preserving your board’s original performance. The Angle Lock feature allows you to precisely lock the binding’s angle once you’ve found the right setting, preventing any unintended slippage during sessions. The cable-reinforced connectors ensure the assembly’s durability over time.

Nitro COSMIC bindings are a solid choice for female snowboarders looking for a reliable, comfortable binding suited for varied all-mountain riding. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to advance on more challenging terrain, their medium flex, adjustable strap system, and universal compatibility make them a solid option to consider for your next set of snowboard gear.
