KAMET XCS men’s mountaineering pants designed for three seasons

These men’s mountaineering pants are designed as three-season pants, capable of keeping up with you for much of the year in the mountains. Their main fabric— stretch polyamide with a ripstop weave—offers excellent abrasion resistance while remaining flexible, allowing you to move with confidence on rock, snow, or ice. Their active, sporty cut follows your movements without excess fabric, which is particularly appreciated during technical sections. The PFC-free DWR water-repellent treatment limits moisture absorption on the surface, contributing to comfort when conditions become changeable.

A stretch and reinforced construction for freedom of movement

The main fabric of the KAMET XCS Men’s Mountaineering Pants combines 89% polyamide and 11% elastane in a 4-way stretch that facilitates a wide range of motion during ascents or traverses. The pre-shaped knees further enhance this ease of movement by reducing strain on the fabric during repeated bending. Stretch Hardtex reinforcements, complemented by lower-leg reinforcements, protect areas exposed to friction and repeated contact with ridges, rocks, or gear, contributing to the pants’ durability. This combination of materials and reinforcements combines freedom of movement with resistance to alpine terrain.

Harness-compatible waistband and functional organization

The waistband of the KAMET XCS Men’s Mountaineering Pants is designed for use with a harness, thanks to a harness-compatible waistband and a flat construction that minimizes bulk. The elasticated waistband at the back, combined with Velcro adjusters and a flat, adjustable waistband, allows you to fine-tune the fit according to your body type and the layers you’re wearing. The pocket layout enhances functionality both on the rock face and during the approach, featuring two zippered hand pockets, a zippered thigh pocket, and a zippered back pocket to keep essential small accessories within reach, even with a harness in place.

Ventilation control and comfort on the move

To adapt to changes in exertion and temperature, these mountaineering pants feature ventilation zippers on the thighs. Controlled opening of these zippers promotes airflow during sustained climbs or in milder conditions, helping to regulate body temperature. Weighing approximately 439 g, these pants remain in the lightweight range for a reinforced mountaineering model, contributing to long-term comfort during extended expeditions or consecutive days in the mountains. The MILLET KAMET XCS Men’s Mountaineering Pants thus offer a cohesive set of features designed for three-season mountaineering.
