Designed for young skiers just discovering classic cross-country skiing, the Salomon MINI is intended for children and juniors who are just starting out on the trails. Their easy fit and immediate comfort make it simple to put them on growing little feet, without any discomfort or unnecessary pressure. Two features set them apart right away: a quick-lacing system and a PROLINK Junior outsole designed specifically for junior bindings.

This boot’s construction is based on a specific junior flex—that is, a flexibility tailored to children’s weight and body type—which promotes a natural motion during the classic-style push-off. The thermoformed heel counter provides precise support without making the entire boot too stiff, which is particularly well-suited for beginners. The generous width of the last, described as “Large” by the manufacturer, gives growing feet the space they need to develop comfortably throughout the season.

Protection from the elements and thermal comfort

The microfleece lining provides direct thermal insulation against the foot, minimizing the sensation of cold during outings in winter conditions. The lace cover features a waterproof zipper, which reduces the entry of snow and moisture around the lacing area. The Touring insole rounds out the package by providing cushioning suited for endurance on-piste skiing.

Ease of Use and Technical Compatibility

The Quicklace™ system allows you to adjust the tightness in a single motion, which greatly simplifies getting children ready—whether they’re doing it themselves or with assistance. The Kevlar laces, a material known for its abrasion resistance, extend the lifespan of the lacing system. The PROLINK Junior outsole is compatible with PROLINK Access JR bindings, ensuring a reliable interface between the boot and the ski.
