A World Cup-level cross-country skating ski set for expert skiers

Designed for skating-style cross-country skiing, the Rossignol X-IUM SKT PRM+ S2ST + PREM+ SKATE Nordic Ski Pack features a World Cup-level racing ski architecture engineered for elite athletes. This design aims for maximum power transfer, smooth glide, and efficient acceleration, meeting the demands of expert and competitive skiers. The IFP plate provides a specialized interface between the ski and the binding, with a setup optimized for the Turnamic® system to ensure consistent flex performance during the skating stroke. This pack thus combines technical skis with Premium+ SK bindings in a configuration tailored to the needs of serious competitive skiing.

A carbon construction and Nomex® core for a lightweight, responsive Nordic ski

The ski’s structure is based on a full-length High Modulus Carbon construction, complemented by a Nomex® Honeycomb core. This choice of materials—high-density carbon and aramid fibers—significantly reduces weight while maintaining the stiffness required for competitive use. With a claimed weight of 500 g per ski in the 188 cm size, the construction remains focused on lightness, which promotes a dynamic skiing feel during the skating technique. The sidecut dimensions of 40-44-43-43 mm contribute to precise ski control on the snow, while Skating Premium Sidewall technology reinforces the edges to maintain stability under pressure. The result is a Nordic ski that prioritizes responsiveness and glide control for experienced skiers.

Glide and control technologies for demanding skating

For glide, the base features a K7000 / Universal 2.0 finish, designed to offer versatile performance in a variety of snow conditions while remaining performance-oriented. The inclusion of a Skating Double Guide Groove —a dual guide groove—helps stabilize the ski’s line and provides a more controlled gliding experience. Light+Techno technology contributes to the overall weight reduction of the structure, resulting in enhanced maneuverability during push-off and acceleration phases. The Total Edge system, meanwhile, optimizes camber and stiffness underfoot for crisp, responsive support—essential during race accelerations. These technical features are combined in a package compatible with the Turnamic® binding system, paired with Premium+ SK bindings to create a set designed for expert and competitive levels of skiing.

The Rossignol X-IUM SKT PRM+ S2ST + PREM+ SKATE Nordic Ski Pack is thus a unisex skating cross-country ski pack, combining carbon construction, a Nomex® core, and technologies dedicated to skating for high-level performance.
