M-Line, the new Dynastar range will take you to the top.

Whether you're a freetouring competition fan with the M-Pierra Menta, or a fan of skis that float on fresh snow with the M-Free, M-Pro, M-Tour or M-Vertical, there's something for everyone.

We hope we've made the right choice in introducing you to this new Dynastar range: the M-Line, a range designed by Dynastar, offered by Speck-Sports, but above all designed for you.

M-Pierra Menta

Let's start with the slimmest, most touring-oriented ski in the range, the M-Pierra Menta. This ski features a Microcell Ultralight core that puts it in the featherweight category thanks to its 710g/ski (in 160) on the scale.

Carbon fiber is also used inside the ski to energize it without weighing it down. Despite its lightness, this ski is sure to be a hit on the slopes, thanks to its Sandwich Full Sidewall construction. The rocker in the tip enhances maneuverability and flotation in fresh snow, so you can have fun despite the 65mm skate.

M-Vertical

Still in the touring ski range, we find the M-Vertical 88 model, with, as its name suggests, 88mm at the base, making it more versatile than the M-Pierra Menta.

Composed of a Hybrid Paulownia and PU core with Basalt fiber reinforcements, the M-Vertical is both more resistant and more responsive on the descent than the M-Pierra Menta. This performance translates into a higher ski weight of 1100g (in 164), which is still very respectable.

With Sandwich Full Sidewall construction, the ski is snappy and precise, while the rocker in the tip greatly enhances maneuverability and lift in powder.

M-Tour

The third member of the M-Line range is the M-Tour, available in two versions from Speck-Sports: the M-Tour 87 CA and the M-Tour 99.

With the former, Dynastar is targeting a wider audience with a more versatile ski that responds better than its predecessors to downhill skiing. In fact, its Paulownia and PU-based core is reinforced with carbon and basalt fiber, with the aim of achieving the best compromise between lightness, strength and responsiveness. With Sandwich Full Sidewall construction, this ski's precision and grip are optimized, while its tip rocker makes it easy to get out of the way in powder.

If you opt for the M-Tour 99, you'll be choosing greater flotation at the expense of weight and maneuverability, with a ski that's slightly heavier and has a wider curve radius. In fact, for a 170cm ski, the M-Tour 99 will weigh 1250g with an 18-meter curve radius, versus a 1200g ski (in 171) with a 14-meter curve radius for the M-Tour 87 CA. The choice is yours.

M-Pro

Another element of the M-Line range is the different variations of the M-Pro, which we find in 90mm and 99mm at the base for the men's versions, and in 90mm for the women's version. If you choose to go for the M-Pro, you're probably looking for versatility.

Unlike the above-mentioned models, the core of these models is made of poplar, a light (less than paulownia) and resistant wood. It's combined with PU for a better feel on snow, and TI Rocket Frame titanium reinforcement for a more aggressive, powerful ski.

Still in Sandwich Full Sidewall construction with tip rocker, these skis will adapt perfectly to all types of terrain, with a preference for fresh snow.

The M-Pro 99 is aimed at the more experienced skier, while the M-Pro 90 is for the intermediate-confirmed skier who wants a ski that can do it all, on piste or on tour. The women's M-Pro 90 W has the same features as the men's version, the only difference being a tighter curve radius due to its smaller size.

M-Free

Last but not least, the M-Free, available in 108mm and 118mm. These are really fat skis, offering incredible buoyancy in deep snow.

Both models feature Sandwich Full Sidewall construction with a double rocker to maximize grip, precision and lift-off. Its progressive shape with double-spatulas lets you launch tricks without worrying about the landing.

The difference lies, of course, in the width of the skis, which will also influence tip and tail width, but also in their composition: although the M-Free 108 remains a ski for good skiers, it is slightly more accessible than the 118 thanks to its poplar and PU core reinforced with a Torsion Box fiberglass coating. As a result, this ski is less demanding, making it easier to get through tougher snow conditions.

In contrast, the M-Free 118 is more powerful, more responsive and therefore more demanding. This difference is due to its all-poplar core, reinforced with a Titanal TI Rocket Frame insert, which gives the ski a dynamic edge for backcountry riders.

In short, Dynastar has succeeded in seducing us this year with its M-Line range, which pushes us to push back our limits and quench our thirst for freedom. Whether you're a fan of long ski tours or looking for the perfect line in trackless snow, you're bound to find a ski in the M-Line that suits not only your level, but also your personality.
