Competition poles designed for Giant Slalom and Super G

The Rossignol HERO GS are alpine ski poles designed to meet the demands of high-level competition. Made of Zicral aluminum, they combine lightness, durability, and resistance to the intense mechanical stresses encountered during races. Their triangular profile and competition-specific components make them a precise tool for the technical disciplines of Giant Slalom and Super-G.

Performance-oriented construction: the triangular Zicral aluminum tube

The Rossignol HERO GS shaft features a triangular profile that simultaneously optimizes aerodynamics and structural rigidity. This geometry reduces air resistance when passing through gates while reinforcing the pole’s durability against the repeated impacts inherent in competition. Zicral aluminum, an alloy well-known in competitive skiing, offers a practical balance between low weight and durability: it withstands lateral impacts better than carbon, making it a logical choice for disciplines where contact with the gates is frequent. The 18-mm tube diameter contributes to the overall stiffness of the pole, ensuring direct energy transfer with every push-off.

Grip and wrist strap: ergonomics designed for racing

The asymmetrical, dual-material Hero grip is designed to conform to the natural shape of the hand in a racing position, ensuring a secure hold without excessive effort. The Hero Velcro wrist strap ensures a quick and precise fit, allowing you to adjust the tightness based on the thickness of the gloves you’re wearing. These two elements work together to provide constant control over the pole, no matter how intense the effort on the trail.

Basket and tip: grip and stability on hard snow

The Rossignol HERO GS is equipped with a 54-mm World Cup basket and a carbide tip. The basket’s diameter is designed for groomed competition runs, where the surface is firm and does not require significant lateral support. The carbide tip effectively penetrates hard snow and ensures reliable grip with every plant, a critical factor for maintaining precision in Giant Slalom and Super-G.

The Rossignol HERO GS alpine ski poles are designed for competitive skiers seeking a high-performance tool for technical events. Their combination of a triangular Zicral aluminum shaft, an asymmetrical grip, and a World Cup basket makes them a consistent benchmark for anyone competing in Giant Slalom or Super-G at a high level.
