Designed for advanced and expert skiers who demand precision and responsiveness on the slopes, the Rossignol HERO WORLD CUP 130 MV is a direct descendant of competition boots. Inspired by the demands of racing, they combine direct power transfer with a Medium Volume fit designed for a wide variety of foot shapes. This model is for skiers seeking an immediate technical response without sacrificing anatomical support during demanding days on the slopes.

A 130 flex and a 100 mm last for expert skiers

With a flex rating of 130, the Rossignol HERO WORLD CUP 130 MV clearly falls into the high-performance category. This level of stiffness ensures nearly instantaneous force transfer between the skier’s body and the ski, resulting in enhanced precision on hard-packed slopes or in competition settings. This flex is recommended for skiers who have mastered their technique and generate clean, consistent pressure.

The 100 mm last, corresponding to the MV (Medium Volume) profile, offers a mid-range fit that accommodates a wider range of foot shapes than a narrow, pure-competition last. This balance provides firm and precise support while remaining accessible to a variety of foot shapes, without requiring immediate boot fitting to achieve a functional fit.

Dual-material construction for dynamic responsiveness

The shell of the HERO WORLD CUP 130 MV is made of Polyether Dual Material, a technology that simultaneously injects two plastics—known as Dual Core—which combines structural rigidity and dynamic rebound within a single piece. In practice, this results in a precise and progressive flex, better shell recovery after loading, and direct power transfer to the ski. The cuff, also made of Polyether, helps provide consistent support for the ankle and lower leg—essential for maintaining constant pressure during turns.

The canting is adjustable via an internal screw, allowing you to adjust the lateral angle of the leg relative to the ski. This adjustment is useful for skiers whose body type requires alignment correction, thereby improving the efficiency of weight transfer and reducing muscle fatigue.

Pre-shaped liner and performance-oriented lacing systems

The integrated Full Custom Racing liner is pre-shaped with anatomically contoured, high-density foam padding. It is designed to conform to the shape of the ankle as soon as the boot is put on, ensuring a secure heel hold and limiting micro-movements of the foot within the shell—a key factor in skiing precision. This type of liner also lends itself to custom boot fitting for skiers who wish to further refine the fit.

The lacing system consists of the following components:

• 4 aluminum micro-buckles adjustable to 3 positions: they allow for fine, progressive adjustment of pressure across the entire foot and lower leg.
• Power Strap Cam Lock: This upper fastening system ensures the cuff stays firmly against the shin, improving force transmission and stability during forward flex.
• Hard PU foam insole: It provides stable arch support, suitable for intensive on-piste skiing.

Outsole and Binding Compatibility

The Rossignol HERO WORLD CUP 130 MV is equipped with a sole that complies with the ISO 5355 Alpine standard, the universal standard for alpine ski boots. This sole is compatible with all classic alpine bindings. It is not replaceable, which is consistent with performance-oriented use on groomed runs and in competition, where the stiffness and precision of the boot-binding interface are paramount.

The HERO WORLD CUP 130 MV ski boots are a logical choice for advanced or expert skiers who regularly ski on groomed runs, participate in speed skiing, or compete. The combination of a 130 flex, a 100 mm MV last, and a Dual Core construction meets the expectations of those seeking to fully utilize their technique without compromising on responsiveness.
