Controlled warmth and moisture management with warm™2 fabric

The core of this midlayer is a warm™2 fleece fabric weighing 200 to 300 g/m², which combines warmth with moisture-wicking properties. This material is designed to offer a balance between insulation and breathability, helping to minimize the chill caused by sweat during prolonged exertion. Performance ratings highlight this balance, with insulation rated 3/6, breathability 4/6, and moisture management 4/6, positioning this fleece as a mid-layer suitable for active mountain activities. The warmth-to-weight ratio of 4/6 and the lightness rating of 4/6 confirm its value for optimizing comfort without adding excess weight.

Practical Features for Days in the Mountains

In the field, the Norrona LOFOTEN WARM2 JACKET stands out thanks to a series of details designed for intensive use in winter conditions. The full-length front zipper allows you to quickly adjust ventilation, whether you’re on a ski lift, on a steep climb, or taking a break at the summit. The hand-warmer pockets provide space to keep your hands warm or keep small accessories within reach, while the zippered chest pocket securely holds items you want to keep accessible, such as a phone or a map. The soft, comfortable collar minimizes chafing around the neck, especially when the fleece is worn under a jacket. The stretchy cuffs with thumb holes improve sleeve fit and hand protection, andthe elastic hem helps keep the jacket securely in place, which helps retain heat. With an elasticity rating of 4/6, the jacket remains comfortable to wear during the wide, sweeping movements typical of snow sports and technical sections.

Durability, Construction, and Warranty

The Norrona LOFOTEN WARM2 JACKET mid-layer incorporates impressive durability features for a fleece designed for mountain sports. Its durability rating of 5/6 indicates a design built to withstand multiple seasons of freeriding, trekking outings, or high-altitude trips. Manufactured in Lithuania, it benefits from rigorous quality control, and the product comes with a 5-year warranty —a clear indication of the brand’s commitment to long-term durability.
