SkiTrab MAGICO.2 Skis, 178 cm

The Ski Trab MAGICO.2 is a ski touring ski designed for advanced to expert skiers seeking a balance between efficiency on the ascent and technical performance on the descent. Its 85 mm waist width offers a versatile geometry for ski touring, while its 118-85-104 mm dimensions (in the 178 cm length) are paired with a 23.10 m turning radius.

Its 14 Layer Control construction combines an aramid-and-wood honeycomb core with carbon reinforcements. The manufacturer particularly highlights the High Module Carbon Cage, a carbon structure that wraps around the core and is designed to increase torsional stiffness without altering flex characteristics.

The MAGICO.2 retains a classic camber profile combined with a tip rocker—a configuration designed to facilitate turn initiation while maintaining a contact base suitable for ski touring. Specialized sources position it as a ski for ski touring and experienced skiers, with performance geared more toward efficiency on ascents than toward maximizing alpine skiability.

At 178 cm, the ski weighs 1,100 g, which is reasonable for this length and consistent with the model’s lightweight design. The MAGICO.2 also has a surface area of 1,681 to 1,682 cm², depending on the sources consulted.
