Fischer Transalp Tour WS: The Perfect Balance Between Ascents and Descents for Discerning Ski Tourers

The Fischer Transalp Tour WS is a ski touring boot designed specifically for women who want to improve their mountain skills without sacrificing the fun of the descent. Weighing approximately 1,350 g per boot and constructed from Pebax Rnew® and TPU, it combines structural lightness with efficient energy transfer. Its versatile design makes it a reliable companion on both challenging ski-touring routes and regular freerando outings. The balance between efficiency on the ascent and stability on the descent is at the heart of its design.

A smooth ascent thanks to generous flex

In walk mode, the Fischer Transalp Tour WS features 80° of range of motion, a range that allows for a natural stride and reduces muscle fatigue on long ascents. The Double Lock Ski/Walk system ensures a quick and secure transition between the two modes, without any complicated adjustments. The binding’s tilt angle is adjustable between 13° and 16°, allowing skiers to adapt their stance to the slope and their individual skiing style. This freedom of movement is achieved without adding weight to the structure thanks to the use of Pebax Rnew®, a material known for its stiffness-to-weight ratio.

Controlled Descent: Flex, Power Transfer, and Locking

Once the cuff is locked, the Transalp Tour WS delivers a flex rating of 110, a figure that ensures direct energy transfer to the ski while maintaining a certain degree of flexibility for varied terrain. The Power Buckle system ensures precise and even tightening, minimizing pressure points while providing a secure fit for the foot. The closure system features two buckles and a Power Strap, complemented by a Quick Fix Strap to facilitate quick adjustments in the field. A Velcro spoiler also allows for a customized fit against the calf based on body shape.

Comfort and Fit: A Liner Tailored for Women’s Feet

The thermoformable Active Fit Zone Liner offers a personalized fit right from the first few outings. Its pre-shaped design facilitates immediate adaptation to the foot, reducing the break-in period. The 100 mm metatarsal width and design tailored for narrower, lower-volume feet ensure precise lateral support without unwanted play. SOMA TEC® technology promotes natural alignment of the foot and leg—a detail that really pays off on long days in the mountains.

Binding compatibility and traction: true all-terrain versatility

The full-rubber sole incorporates Tech inserts (Dynafit®), making the Transalp Tour WS compatible with PIN- and Tech-type insert bindings, as well as with AT bindings that meet the ISO 9523 standard. Multi-Norm compatibility further expands the range of usable bindings, offering true freedom of choice when putting together your touring setup. The rubber sole’s grip also ensures good traction during transitions on flat terrain or mixed terrain.

Designed for ski tourers looking to tackle a variety of routes, the Fischer Transalp Tour WS combines an 80° range of motion for ascents, a flex rating of 110 for descents, and extensive binding compatibility all in one ski. It’s aimed at women who ski tour regularly and expect their equipment to respond precisely in both directions on the slope.
