Designed for junior skiers, the Helly Hansen K RIDER 2 INS BIB Ski Overalls are perfect for days on the slopes all winter long. They’re designed for kids who spend time on the slopes and in the snow, with a focus on skiing and outdoor play. Its waterproof, windproof, and breathable HELLY TECH® Performance technology, combined with PrimaLoft® insulation, keeps kids warm and dry in a variety of winter conditions. Strategic reinforcements and adjustable elastic shoulder straps round out a design built to keep up with the youngest skiers.

Waterproof and breathable protection for junior ski days

The Helly Hansen K RIDER 2 INS BIB ski overalls are built around HELLY TECH® Performance technology, which combines waterproofing, wind protection, and breathability for skiing and snow play. The polyamide outer fabric, combined with fully taped seams and a 17,000 mm water column, provides an effective barrier against wet snow and inclement weather, while allowing internal moisture to escape. Integrated snow gaiters at the bottom of the legs help keep snow out of the boots, while the reflective logo improves visibility in low-light conditions. This design is intended to keep children comfortable, even during long days on the slopes.

Synthetic insulation to stay warm all winter long

For thermal comfort, the ski pants feature 100g PrimaLoft® Black insulation made of polyester, designed to retain heat on cold days. This insulation is distributed throughout the junior ski pants to keep the legs and lower body at a comfortable temperature, complementing the fabric’s windproof protection. The polyester lining provides a comfortable feel against mid-layers, while the winter-specific construction allows you to stay active in the snow without sacrificing comfort. The selected materials—including a bluesign®-certified main fabric and a solution-dyed lining—are part of an approach to minimizing manufacturing impacts while providing warmth suited to winter conditions.

Durability and freedom of movement to support growth

The Helly Hansen K RIDER 2 INS BIB ski pants feature reinforcements at the knees, seat, and lower legs—areas that take a heavy beating during falls, play in the snow, or repeated trips on the ski lifts. These reinforcements increase abrasion resistance and extend the lifespan of the children’s ski pants. The articulated knees are designed to promote natural mobility, helping children move freely, bend their legs, and link turns seamlessly. The adjustable leg length allows the pants to be adapted as the child grows, extending their use over several seasons depending on the child’s body type. This combination of durability, mobility, and adjustability meets the demands of intensive skiing and snow play.

A comfortable fit designed for children

The Helly Hansen K RIDER 2 INS BIB ski pants stay in place thanks to adjustable elastic shoulder straps and an elastic waistband that adapt to children’s movements. The shoulder straps help keep the pants in place without constricting the stomach, while the elastic waistband ensures a secure fit around the lower back. The integrated snow gaiters create a more secure fit with ski boots, preventing snow from entering the lower legs. The polyamide outer fabric and polyester lining are designed to feel comfortable against the skin while remaining easy to care for in everyday use. The washing instructions—wash with similar colors, fasten Velcro straps, do not use fabric softener, and tumble dry inside out to reactivate the water-repellent treatment—help maintain the pants’ original performance over multiple seasons.

The Helly Hansen K RIDER 2 INS BIB ski pants are technical junior ski pants that combine HELLY TECH® Performance protection, PrimaLoft® insulation, and targeted reinforcements for regular winter use.
