Designed for men’s skiers seeking freeride runs and backcountry adventures, the Helly Hansen SOGN CARGO Ski Pants combine durability and insulation for challenging winter days. Their waterproof, windproof, and breathable HELLY TECH® PROTECTION construction effectively shields against the elements, while 60g Primaloft Black insulation at the seat and knees provides targeted extra warmth. The spacious cargo pockets and the back pocket with a Velcro closure offer convenient storage for gear without compromising freedom of movement. With articulated knees and an adjustable waist with belt loops, these ski pants adapt to both the terrain and your body shape.

Reliable technical protection for freeride and backcountry

The Helly Hansen SOGN CARGO Ski Pants are designed for the changing conditions of freeride and backcountry skiing, thanks to HELLY TECH® PROTECTION technology, which ensures waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection. The 2-layer construction and fully taped seams minimize moisture penetration, while the durable water-repellent (DWR) finish helps snow and rain run off to keep you dry and comfortable longer. The 60g Primaloft Black insulation is concentrated on the seat and knees to retain heat when you’re leaning into the snow or relaxing, without adding bulk to the entire pant. Reinforcements at the bottom of the legs enhance durability against ski edges and repeated friction, ensuring reliable performance throughout the WINTER 2027 season.

Snug Comfort and Temperature Regulation in Action

On the slopes, the comfort of the Helly Hansen SOGN CARGO Ski Pants comes from a thoughtfully designed fit and functional details. The adjustable waist with belt loops lets you fine-tune the fit based on your mid-layers and belt, while the articulated knees facilitate full range of motion while skiing, whether ascending or descending. Mechanical zippered vents provide precise temperature regulation—useful during sustained exertion or changing weather conditions—by allowing air to circulate without compromising overall protection. The back pocket with a Velcro closure and the spacious cargo pockets keep your small gear organized and within easy reach, while maintaining a silhouette suited for alpine activities.

Built-in Safety and Sustainable Materials

For off-piste adventures, the Helly Hansen SOGN CARGO Ski Pants feature the RECCO® system, which helps rescue teams equipped with compatible detectors locate you more easily during search operations. This feature complements your personal safety gear without adding any complexity to its use. In terms of design, these men’s ski pants are bluesign® certified and made with Oceanbound recycled materials, demonstrating a commitment to minimizing the product’s environmental impact while maintaining technical performance. The 100% polyamide shell, 100% polyester lining, and 100% polyester insulation are selected for their durability and insulating properties, all within a controlled weight of 625g that remains suitable for freeride use.
