The North Face CIRQUE DOWN Ski Jacket: Controlled Warmth on the Slopes

At first glance, The North Face CIRQUE DOWN jacket has the sleek look of an urban coat. Yet it’s designed from top to bottom to meet the demands of a day on the slopes. Its DryVent™ membrane provides waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection, while its hybrid down-and-synthetic insulation ensures warmth without unnecessary bulk. This jacket is designed for skiers who want technical gear without sacrificing a sleek silhouette.

Waterproofing and Protection: The DryVent™ Membrane at the Heart of the System

DryVent™ 2L technology forms the waterproof foundation of The North Face CIRQUE DOWN. This two-layer membrane blocks external moisture while allowing body vapor to escape, preventing condensation from building up inside the jacket during intense activity. Its PFC-free DWR finish repels water on the surface without using perfluorinated substances—an approach that combines water-repellent performance with compliance with current environmental commitments. The snap-button stand-up collar and drawcord-adjustable hem complete this shield against the elements.

Insulation and warmth: RDS-certified down and Heatseeker™ Advanced

The CIRQUE DOWN’s insulation is based on a hybrid approach: RDS (Responsible Down Standard)-certified 550 cuin goose down, which guarantees ethical sourcing and responsible production, combined with Heatseeker™ Advanced synthetic insulation. The latter offers a high warmth-to-weight ratio, remains effective even when wet, and withstands repeated compression without losing its loft. Together, they keep you warm during cold descents without adding excess weight or restricting movement.

Freedom of Movement and Ventilation: A Design Tailored for Skiing

The jacket’s body is made of 94% recycled polyester and 6% spandex, providing natural flexibility with every movement. The stretchy snow skirt with hook-and-loop closure prevents snow from getting in during falls or when skiing through powder. Zippered underarm vents quickly release excess heat during ascents or sustained exertion. The integrated stretch-knit cuffs with thumb loops ensure thermal continuity between the jacket and the gloves, leaving no areas exposed to the cold.

Finishes and Practicality: Storage Designed for the Mountains

The North Face CIRQUE DOWN features a range of thoughtfully designed storage solutions for a full day on the slopes. Here are the main storage options available:

• Zippered hand pockets: accessible while wearing gloves, they let you quickly stow essentials without any fiddly adjustments.
• Zippered wrist pocket with goggle wipe: handy for cleaning your ski goggles without taking off your gloves.
• Internal zippered chest pocket: keeps valuables safe from the cold and impacts.
• Internal multimedia pocket with headphone port: lets you listen to music without routing cables to the outside.
• Two large interior mesh pockets: provide additional storage space for small gear or lightweight layers.

The adjustable, helmet-compatible hood and the #5 PU reverse center zipper round out the field-ready design.

With its technical ski apparel and proven hybrid insulation, The North Face CIRQUE DOWN lets you tackle every run with confidence, staying warm and comfortable no matter how harsh the conditions.
