A ski backpack with an airbag designed for challenging outings

Designed as a 30-liter backpack, the Mammut HALDIGRAT 30 E2 AIRBAG M/L offers a volume suitable for day trips where avalanche safety gear, layers of clothing, and hydration must all find their place. The Alpride E2 electronic airbag system is at the heart of this model, featuring supercapacitor technology capable of multiple deployments and functioning even in freezing conditions—a key safety asset for winter athletes. The pack is thus designed for demanding ascents and descents, where challenging terrain requires rigorous preparation and organized gear.

Interior and exterior design for efficiency in the field

The Mammut HALDIGRAT 30 E2 AIRBAG backpack features a rear opening for quick access to contents, which is practical during transitions in the mountains or for grabbing an extra layer without unpacking everything. The front pocket for avalanche safety gear allows you to store a shovel and probe in a dedicated spot, promoting clear organization of rescue equipment. The pack features a removable diagonal ski carrier and a mount for snowboards and splitboards, allowing you to switch between ascents and descents while keeping your gear securely in place. Two attachments for ice axes and poles complete the exterior layout, ensuring technical tools remain accessible and secure when not in use.

A structured carrying system for better load transfer

To support both long ascents and sustained descents, the Mammut HALDIGRAT 30 E2 AIRBAG backpack features a U-shaped frame designed to ensure optimal load transfer between the back and hips, contributing to a more balanced weight distribution across the body. The integrated helmet holder allows you to carry your ski or snowboard helmet without cluttering the inside of the pack, which is useful during approaches or sections where the helmet is removed. The 3-way zippered clamshell opening provides easy visibility and access to the bag’s entire contents, while the side compression straps help stabilize the load, whether the bag is lightly packed or loaded to its maximum capacity. Finally, hydration system compatibility allows for easy integration of a water bladder, helping to maintain consistent hydration without having to constantly remove the pack.
