Designed for year-round alpine use, the Mammut Crater IV HS combines durability, lightness, and maximum protection. Its 3-layer GORE-TEX® construction guarantees high waterproofing, capable of withstanding the most severe conditions, while ensuring excellent wind resistance. Despite this high level of protection, the jacket remains comfortable to wear thanks to its controlled breathability and low weight, ideal for long ascents or technical routes.

Comfort of movement and features designed for action

Every detail of the Crater IV HS has been designed to accompany the body's natural movements in challenging terrain. MAMMUT® High Reach Technology™ promotes optimal freedom of movement, especially when climbing or mountaineering. The adjustable hood, which is compatible with a helmet, provides effective protection without ever obstructing the field of vision, while zippered underarm vents allow excess heat to escape quickly during sustained effort.

Practical organization suited to alpine activities

Functional and well-designed, this hardshell jacket makes it easy to manage your equipment, even in demanding conditions. It features:

• front pockets positioned to remain accessible with a harness
• an interior zippered pocket to secure essential items
• a two-way Aquaguard front zipper that is waterproof and easy to use
• adjustable cuffs and a drawcord hem for customized protection from the elements

All this allows you to stay focused on the route without compromising on practicality.

A waterproof jacket committed to a more sustainable mountain

Beyond its technical performance, the Mammut Crater IV HS stands out for its responsible approach. Its PFC-free ePE GORE-TEX membrane, combined with 100% recycled textiles and solution-dyed colors, significantly reduces the jacket's environmental footprint. Certified bluesign® PRODUCT and Fair Wear, it meets the most demanding standards of sustainability without compromising on the performance expected of a high-altitude hardshell.
