LEKI designed the WCR CORE TR JUNIOR for young skiers competing in alpine skiing, whether for training on the course or on race days. This junior glove features ceramic-reinforced EVA padding, designed to absorb repeated impacts with gate posts, and a Race Fit cut tailored to the hands of children and teens for precise pole control. Designed for demanding winter conditions, it provides effective warmth even in cold weather.

Protection and Insulation in the Leki WCR CORE TR JUNIOR Gloves

The SOFT-TEX® membrane provides effective waterproofing and wind protection while remaining highly breathable, helping to maintain stable thermal comfort during physical activity. Insulation relies on a targeted combination: Hyperloft on the back of the hand to retain heat, and Thinsulate™ in the palm for a sensitive touch that preserves feel on the pole. The Flex Cuff completes the design by providing flexible support at the wrist without restricting movement.

Optimized grip for junior racing

The palm is made entirely of goatskin, a material known for its durability and natural grip. Silicone-reinforced grip pads further enhance pole control during technical downhill sections. The ceramic shell integrated into the EVA padding protects the joints during contact with slalom gates—a feature specifically designed for racing disciplines. The stretch softshell exterior offers freedom of movement suited to the quick, repetitive motions typical of competition.

The Trigger system for a direct connection to the pole

The Trigger system establishes a direct connection between the skier’s hand and compatible LEKI poles, replacing the traditional strap with a precise mechanical attachment. This system improves control during turns and makes it easier to quickly release the pole in the event of a fall—a tangible advantage in competitive skiing. For young athletes learning racing techniques, this enhanced connection contributes to safer and more efficient movement.
