The new K2 MINDBENDER available
In a preview, K2 is launching its new range of all-mountain and freeride skis. The Mindbenders are designed to replace the Pinnacles. A few pairs are already available for sale from Speck-Sports. We've had a chance to test them out, and they're the real deal.
The new range of K2 all-mountain and freeride skis
New technologies :
With the expert advice of their pro-riders, K2 set out to find the solution to the squaring of the circle: to have skis that are both easy in powder and trafole but that can carve curves on hard snow.
Two new technologies have been developed:
- The Titanal Y-Bean, a titanium plate that provides torsional rigidity for grip and handling on hard snow, while retaining a progressive flex.
- Carbon Spectral Braid, an optimised weave of carbon fibre to optimise the ski's flex and lightness.
The K2 Mindbender models available from Speck-Sports are :
K2 MINDBENDER 88 TI ALLIANCE
Are you a good skier looking for a versatile, powerful ski?
The K2 Mindbender 88 TI Alliance is for you.
With its 88 mm runner, combined with the new technologies developed by K2: Titanal Y-Beam and Carbon Spectral Braid, the Mindbender 88 TI Alliance will be perfect for carving on hard slopes and will go very well in freeskiing thanks to its double Rocker.
The ideal ski for those who want to go everywhere with a playful, eye-catching tool.
K2 MINDBENDER 99 TI
If you're a skier with a good level of technique and are looking for an extremely versatile ski that will perform just as well in powder as on hardpack, the Mindbender 99 Ti is for you.
The new Titanal Y-Beam and Carbon Spectral Braid technologies provide exceptional torsional rigidity for perfect grip on hard snow.
The double rocker allows the Mindbender 99 Ti to pass through deep snow with ease.
K2 MINDBENDER 90 TI
Little brother of the K2 Mindbender 99 Ti, the Mindbender 90 Ti is a versatile and powerful ski. With its slightly narrower 90mm base, it will be very grippy on hard snow and will allow you to send high-speed turns without flinching. For those who prefer piste to all-terrain.
Its construction with Titanal Y-Beam and Carbon Spectrail Braid technologies gives it exceptional torsional rigidity.
Its double rocker means it's perfect for powdery snow.
