D.V.A Mammut Barryvox S

With its 70-metre search bandwidth, the Barryvox® is one of the best devices in the world. And we know that only an easy-to-use avalanche transceiver can save lives in an emergency.

That's why the new Barryvox® is now even easier to use. Digital/analogue detector with 3 antennae. The new Barryvox® S, with its long reception range and effective search bandwidth of 70 metres, offers users a large, simple interface and intuitive operation. In other words, it provides clear instructions thanks to its ultra-simple operating concept and enables fast, accurate searches thanks to the Smart Search function. To protect rescuers who are not involved in the search, we have integrated the Rescue SEND function into the Barryvox® S. In the event of a second avalanche burying a rescuer, the SEND mode is automatically activated and signals the position of the burial. The Barryvox® S is also equipped with the Smart Search function, which reacts according to the search actions of the rescuer.

The new-generation Barryvox® continues the impeccable reliability that already characterised earlier avalanche transceivers (ATDs). At the same time, we've greatly improved its application possibilities and performance. This new generation combines high-performance research with intuitive operation to find avalanche victims quickly, easily and reliably.

The new Barryvox® is not just the device with one of the longest reception ranges and one of the widest, most reliable search bands on the market. What really sets the Mammut avalanche transceiver apart is its intuitive operation. Because as we all know, it's only when you can use your device with your eyes closed, or almost, that you'll really be able to exploit its performance in an emergency.

• Effective search bandwidth in digital mode: 70 metres
• Reception range in digital mode: up to 70 metres
• Extended search range: extended reception range (analogue mode): up to 95 m, extended search bandwidth (analogue mode): 100 m
• Circular reception area: almost identical reception range from antenna X to antenna Y
• Lithium-compatible: also works with lithium batteries: less risk of leakage. More stable in extremely low temperatures. Longer battery life (350 hours in SEND mode)
• Screen: backlighting makes the screen perfectly legible, even with polarised glasses
• Audible user guidance: allows the rescuer to visually inspect the avalanche site
• Wrong direction function to avoid heading in the opposite direction
• Group test with clear instructions
• Visual interface: overview of victims, with indication of distance, direction and number of victims
• Design: ergonomic, shock-resistant design, easy to handle even when wearing gloves
• Device tests: self-test and function test
• The Smart Search function reacts according to the search actions of the rescuer. This makes searching easier and more reliable
• Multiple burials: analysis and separation of signals in the event of multiple burials
• Victims can be selected from the list of victims, marked (MARK), then unmarked (UNMARK)
• Auto Revert: if a rescuer does not move for 4 minutes, the device assumes a secondary avalanche and switches to SEND mode (motion sensor)
• The SEND rescue function is a protection function for rescuers who are not involved in the search: in the event of a second avalanche burying a rescuer, the SEND mode is automatically activated and signals the position of burial
• Automatic guidance: in the event of signal failure or interference, the device continues to guide the rescuer towards the victims
• Vital data: the 3D sensor allows the rescuer to focus resources on victims with the greatest chance of survival
• Advanced search parameters: customisable search parameters: pro search; audio and visual guidance; automatic switch to transmit mode (Auto-Revert)
• Alternative search mode (analogue mode) for solving the most complex search scenarios
• Customisation: home screen and identification text can be customised (e.g. owner information)
• Support: ultra-functional Barryvox carrying system included
• Wireless link: additional communication channel to optimise search performance
• Wireless device management
• Upgradeable software
• Operating temperature : -25°C to +45°C
