ARV 84
The Armada ARV 84 is a unisex twin-tip ski designed for beginner to intermediate skiers who want to improve their skills both in the park and throughout the entire ski area. With a waist width of 84 mm, it offers a balance between on-piste maneuverability and off-piste versatility. Its meticulous construction, made in Austria, makes it a sturdy and accessible ski, capable of supporting your progression over the long term.
A versatile twin-tip profile for skiing anywhere on the mountain
The AR Freestyle Rocker profile combines rocker at the tip and tail with positive camber underfoot. This geometry makes it easier to initiate turns and provides responsiveness on park features, while maintaining enough grip on the piste to work on your technique. The ski thus meets the varied needs of a developing skier, whether they’re stringing together jumps in the snowpark or exploring the rest of the mountain.
Armada ARV 84 Ski Construction: Durability and Lightweight Design to Support Progress
The hybrid poplar and composite core combines the natural responsiveness of wood with the shock absorption of composite, resulting in a lightweight ski weighing 1, 525 g per ski, without sacrificing strength. The oversized, heat-treated 2.5 Impact Edges are more resistant to the repeated impacts inherent in park skiing. The AR50 Sidewall underfoot enhances edge grip during turns, while the Cap construction at the tip and tail allows the ski to flow more smoothly through turns. The S7 Base sintered base rounds out the package by optimizing glide, durability, and wax retention, which reduces the frequency of maintenance required.
A flex suited for developing skiers
The progressive flex—rated at 6 at the tip and 7 across the waist and at the tail (on a scale of 1 to 10)—offers enough flexibility to forgive positioning mistakes without being too soft to hinder progress. This level of stiffness allows skiers to learn the fundamentals of freestyle and all-mountain skiing under ideal conditions, without forcing them to upgrade their equipment too soon. The ski is available in three lengths—157, 164, and 171 cm—to suit different body types and skill levels.
