A high-performance all-mountain ski, designed for advanced skiers

The Head KORE 88 TI BK/GR is designed for advanced to expert skiers looking for a versatile ski capable of performing equally well on groomed runs and off-piste. With an 88 mm waist width, it occupies a central position in the all-mountain range: narrow enough to maintain solid grip on hard snow, yet wide enough to provide float in groomed snow or light powder. This Head model from the 2027 collection combines robust construction with dynamic handling for skiers who don’t want to choose between on-piste performance and the freedom of off-piste skiing.

All-Mountain Program: Versatility and Precision

The KORE 88 TI BK/GR is designed for performance-oriented all-mountain alpine skiing. It’s ideal for skiers who string together turns on the piste in the morning and venture into varied terrain—bumps, cold snow, or the edges of the piste—as the day goes on. Its intermediate width gives it true versatility without sacrificing responsiveness, making it a logical choice for those who ski fast and are looking for a ski capable of keeping pace with their progress on all types of terrain.

Dimensions and radius: a balanced profile for aggressive turns

The dimensions of the Head KORE 88 TI BK/GR—with a 127 mm tip, 87 mm waist, and 111 mm tail—define a progressive and consistent geometry. The 14.6-meter radius in the standard length (170 cm) suits the ski for medium- to short-radius turns, ideal for dynamic and aggressive skiing, whether in aggressive carving or a more relaxed off-piste style. The unidirectional shape, with a streamlined front tip, facilitates turn initiation and a smooth ride.

Profile and Construction: Double Rocker and Karuba Core for Lightness and Responsiveness

The KORE 88 TI BK/GR’s profile combines a double rocker (at the tip and tail) with a classic camber underfoot. This hybrid profile makes it easier to initiate turns and makes the ski more maneuverable in deep snow, while maintaining precise grip on hard snow thanks to the central camber. The Cap Sandwich construction combines the advantages of both techniques: lightness on the edges and structural stiffness where it’s needed. The Karuba core—a lightweight wood known for its strength-to-weight ratio—contributes to responsiveness and feedback underfoot. The two layers of Titanal integrated into the construction provide the stability and shock absorption essential at high speeds or on uneven snow, without making the skis excessively heavy; the total weight is listed at 3.6 kg per pair.

For an experienced skier who mainly skis on groomed runs but also regularly ventures off-piste into couloirs, the Head KORE 88 TI BK/GR is a well-rounded ski—demanding at a high level yet predictable in its responses. Available in lengths of 170, 177, and 184 cm, it allows you to adjust the turning radius and contact patch to suit your body type and skiing style.
