Designed for advanced and expert skiers looking to venture off the marked trails, the Dynastar M-Tour 100 Open is tailored for the demanding demands of ski touring and freerando. With a 100 mm waist, they offer a versatile profile that’s equally suited to skiing on groomed snow as it is to backcountry excursions on fresh or varied snow. Their lightweight, responsive design is intended to reduce fatigue during ascents while remaining precise and stable on the descent. This ski is designed for those who want to explore challenging terrain without sacrificing comfort.
The Dynastar M-Tour 100 Open is built for the full spectrum of backcountry terrain: couloirs, open slopes, transformed snow, or light powder. The 100 mm waist width provides enough float to glide over fresh snow while maintaining responsive handling on harder or packed sections. This ski profile is ideal for challenging outings where the skier must alternate between ascending on skins and technical descents, with equipment capable of adapting without sacrificing precision. The turning radius of approximately 17 m (for a length of 178 cm) facilitates wide, fluid turns, well-suited to the large slopes and open terrain characteristic of freerando.
The sidecut dimensions of the M-Tour 100 Open are approximately 134/100/124 mm at the tip, waist, and tail for the 178 cm length. This slightly asymmetrical geometry between the tip and tail contributes to directional stability on descents while facilitating transitions. Adaptiv Sidecut technology ensures smooth transitions between edging phases, resulting in a progressive, seamless sequence of turns, even on uneven snow. The ski is available in three lengths—170, 178, and 186 cm—allowing you to adjust its performance based on your build and skiing style.
The M-Tour 100 Open’s profile features a progressive rocker at the tip and tail, combined with camber underfoot. This hybrid profile is specifically designed to meet the demands of freerando: the rocker at the tip makes it easier to initiate turns and prevents the ski from sinking into fresh snow, while the central camber maintains edge grip on hard or crusty snow. The rockered tail makes exiting turns easier and reduces resistance during uphill transitions. Progressive Rocker technology balances these elements to ensure maneuverability and responsiveness in both phases of skiing.
The construction of the M-Tour 100 Open is based on several complementary technical choices, summarized as follows:
This ski is manufactured in France, at the Sallanches factory, and the Hybrid Core 2.0 technology incorporates a design approach aimed at reducing the use of fiberglass.
