Designed for young beginner to intermediate skiers, the Völkl RACETIGER JR YELLOW + 4.5 VMOT JR package offers an introduction to alpine skiing designed to help skiers progress on the slopes with a well-coordinated and appropriately sized set of equipment. The Full Cap construction and composite core ensure a flexible, well-balanced response, perfectly suited for children who are just learning. The set is available in sizes 100 and 120 cm, covering the early years of skiing.

A ski profile tailored for on-piste progression with the RACETIGER JR YELLOW

The RACETIGER JR YELLOW features a profile that combines camber and Tip Rocker—a slight upward curve at the tip that makes it easier to initiate turns and reduces unwanted catching at the start of a turn. The central camber maintains contact with the snow in the middle of the turn for precise and reassuring handling. With a turning radius of 8.3 meters in size 100, the ski is designed for short, maneuverable turns, suitable for blue runs and learning areas. The 68 mm waist width at the center ensures a good balance between stability and ease of edging.

A construction designed for young skiers

The Full Cap construction envelops the entire ski in a continuous shell, which lightens the structure while making it durable against the everyday impacts on school slopes. The composite core provides the flexibility needed to absorb minor uneven terrain without tiring young skiers’ legs. Paired with the 4.5 VMOT JR binding included in the package, the set forms a cohesive, ready-to-ski setup, eliminating the need to check for compatibility between the ski and binding separately.

Dimensions and Compatibility

With dimensions of 100/68/82 mm (tip, waist, tail), the ski features a relatively narrow profile that enhances power transfer and responsiveness on groomed snow. The set is available in two lengths, 100 and 120 cm, to accommodate different body types and skill levels. The bright yellow color also makes the skis easy to spot on the slopes—a practical feature for instructors and parents.

The Volkl RACETIGER JR YELLOW + 4.5 VMOT JR ski set is a comprehensive and well-rounded solution to support a child’s first few ski seasons on groomed slopes.
