Its multi-turn geometry allows for both long, fluid turns and quick edge changes, depending on the skier’s style.

The Stöckli Laser SC OREA-D20 package: a design focused on power transmission

The ski features a sandwich construction with racing sidewalls—known as Racing Sidewalls Black—which enhances lateral stiffness and ensures direct power transfer when initiating turns. The beech and poplar wood core provides a balanced flex profile, combining responsiveness and shock absorption. Full Edge Contact technology guarantees continuous contact between the edge and the snow along the entire length of the ski, resulting in crisp edge grip, even on compacted groomed snow. The Solid Metal Edges round out this package by providing durability and stability in demanding conditions.

Flex Torsion Control (FTC) technology regulates the ski’s torsion to facilitate turn initiation and allow for adaptability based on the intensity of pressure applied. Added to this is Size Optimized Construction, which adjusts the internal structure to each available length—from 158 to 176 cm—so that the ski’s performance remains consistent regardless of the size chosen. With no rocker and a classic camber profile, the ski prioritizes grip and precision over play in soft snow, making it perfectly suited for high-performance on-piste skiing.

Baseplate and bindings: an integrated system for fluidity and adjustability

The MC Fullflex D20 plate acts as an interface between the ski and the binding. It provides longitudinal flexibility in force transmission, contributing to a smoother ride that’s less taxing on the legs during long sessions. The MC12 F80 bindings complement this system by offering adjustments tailored to different skier profiles. The baseplate-binding assembly was developed in collaboration with Salomon and features GripWalk compatibility, allowing use with GripWalk-sole boots for greater comfort off the slopes. The total weight of the package is 3.28 kg.

Swiss-made, hand-assembled skis

Each Laser SC OREA ski is hand-assembled in the workshop in Malters, Switzerland, in the canton of Lucerne. This artisanal manufacturing process, combined with the use of materials such as Titanal, fiberglass, and a racing-grade graphite base, places this ski in a category where the care taken in its construction directly influences consistent performance over the course of multiple runs.
