Van Deer PRO Ski Set + MARKER COMP 12 Bindings

The Van Deer PRO is an alpine ski designed to deliver maximum performance on the slopes, utilizing the same materials and construction principles as World Cup skis. Developed and personally approved by Marcel Hirscher, it’s designed for ambitious skiers seeking precise edge grip, flawless stability, and powerful acceleration in every turn. The Van Deer PRO Ski Pack + MARKER COMP 12 Bindings combines this recreational piste ski with racing DNA and a reliable alpine binding, for a well-rounded and committed experience on groomed runs. This unisex pack, available in a 175 cm length, is suitable for good to excellent skiers who want to fully exploit the ski’s dynamic qualities.

A piste program tailored for demanding skiers

The Van Deer PRO is clearly part of a high-performance alpine skiing program geared toward recreational on-piste skiing. Designed for groomed terrain and well-maintained slopes, it meets the expectations of skiers looking to improve or carve with precision on blue, red, and black runs. The ski’s appeal lies in a balance between its racing DNA—which provides responsiveness and direct power transfer—and its everyday versatility, making it suitable for regular and varied use. Its acceleration through turns and smooth handling make it an ideal choice for skiers looking to push their limits on the slopes.

Dimensions and radius: geometry designed for sharp turns

The sidecut of the Van Deer PRO + MARKER COMP 12 Ski Pack is optimized for the piste. With a waist width of 68 mm, the ski remains narrow and promotes grip on hard snow and groomed runs, minimizing side-to-side sway. The tip/waist/tail dimensions are 115/68/97 mm, giving the ski a relatively symmetrical profile that promotes balanced handling in both short and medium-radius turns. The 16-meter turning radius on the 175-cm model corresponds to a medium-to-short turn, ideal for skiers looking for a responsive and maneuverable ski without sacrificing stability at high speeds.

Premium construction: Titanal and wood core for power transfer and stability

The Van Deer PRO’s construction is based on materials sourced directly from the world of competition. Here are the key elements that define its performance:

• Two layers of Titanal: these reinforce torsional stiffness and ensure exceptional stability at high speeds, while minimizing vibrations on hard snow.
• Ash-poplar wood core: This combination of woods offers a balance between lightness and responsiveness, for a lively and precise response to every push.
• Factory tuning: The ski comes with optimized edge sharpening and wax application, ensuring maximum performance and control right from the first use.
• Handcrafted in Austria: Each ski is assembled to high-quality standards, in line with the brand’s Race Series principles.

The MARKER COMP 12 binding: a DIN range suited for expert skiers

The package includes the MARKER COMP 12 GW binding, whose DIN range of 4 to 12 meets the needs of skiers from advanced intermediate to expert levels. This adjustment range ensures a release safety level tailored to the skier’s physique and skill level, while guaranteeing efficient power transfer from the skier to the ski. The combination forms a setup that is consistent with the technical characteristics of the Van Deer PRO.

The Van Deer PRO Ski Pack + MARKER COMP 12 Bindings is primarily designed for skilled skiers who are comfortable on red and black runs and want a ski that is precise, stable, and responsive. Its competition-inspired construction, combined with a geometry designed for sharp turns on groomed runs, makes it an excellent choice for those who ski regularly and want to improve their technique throughout the season.
