Designed for expert skiers who demand precision and responsiveness on challenging slopes, the HEAD Raptor WCR 120 PV White is part of a line of competition boots for everyday use. It’s aimed at advanced and experienced skiers looking for a technical boot capable of translating every movement into precise control, without compromising on support. With a race-oriented profile, it meets the expectations of skiers who regularly tackle challenging blue and red runs—and even black runs—and who want gear that matches their skill level.

Flex and fit: precision tailored for experts

The Head Raptor WCR 120 PV White’s 120 flex clearly positions this model in the category of high-stiffness ski boots, designed for experienced skiers capable of applying firm pressure to the liner. This flex is adjustable between 120 and 130 thanks to the Flex Performance adjustment insert, allowing you to adapt the shell’s response to snow conditions or your preferences on any given day. The 96 mm last (PV 1750cc profile) corresponds to a narrow fit—characteristic of race-oriented designs—which ensures precise contact between the foot and the shell for direct energy transfer. This profile is suitable for narrow to normal feet and is not suitable for wide feet.

Power Transfer and Race Construction

The polyurethane shell, combined with a new thermoplastic material, contributes to structural rigidity while effectively absorbing vibrations on varied terrain. The 13° forward lean and 4° ramp angle define an active skiing position, promoting a sharp ski engagement at the start of the turn. The rear support plug and cuff alignment allow for precise adjustment of the shin’s position relative to the boot—a crucial adjustment for optimizing power transmission based on each skier’s body type. The HP Frame insole and flat foam insert round out this performance-oriented design.

Comfort and Customization: the WCR Pro Liner

The WCR Pro Liner features Liquid Fit injections, a technology that molds the liner to closely follow the shape of the foot to eliminate gaps and improve comfort during long sessions. The Extended Toe Box provides more space in the toe area, reducing compression while skiing downhill. These features make the Raptor WCR 120 PV White particularly well-suited for work with a bootfitter, who can leverage the liner’s construction to customize the fit according to the skier’s specific needs.

Lacing, Practicality, and Binding Compatibility

The lacing system consists of the following components:

• 4 low-profile, micro-adjustable racing alloy buckles: these provide precise and consistent support across the entire foot and leg, with a compact design that doesn’t interfere with the binding.
• 45 mm Velcro Power Strap: This high strap holds the shin against the cuff and enhances power transfer without making the boot excessively stiff.
• FIS-approved flat sole: compliant with competition standards, it ensures full compatibility with standard alpine bindings (ISO 5355), with a GripWalk option available as an upgrade to facilitate walking off-piste.

The Head Raptor WCR 120 PV White is designed for expert skiers who tackle demanding slopes and want a ski boot that combines technical precision with detailed customization options. Its race-oriented construction, narrow 96 mm last, and adjustable flex make it a well-rounded choice for those who don’t want to sacrifice precision on the slopes for the sake of comfort, while still benefiting from an adjustable liner suitable for in-shop customization.
