Designed for intermediate to advanced female skiers looking to improve their skills without sacrificing all-day comfort, the Nordica Speedmachine 3 85WR SK BOA(GW) combine rigorous technical construction with practical features. With a flex rating of 85 and a last width of 100 mm, they are designed for medium-width feet and offer a balance between responsiveness on the slopes and comfort during extended wear. The BOA Fit system and GripWalk soles round out a design crafted for skiers who want a versatile boot, from the chairlift to the chalet.
The 85 flex places the Speedmachine 3 85WR SK BOA(GW) in an intermediate category: flexible enough to absorb uneven terrain and remain comfortable throughout a long day, yet firm enough to deliver precise power transfer on groomed runs. This level of stiffness is particularly well-suited for skiers who ski regularly and want to refine their technique without experiencing the fatigue caused by a flex that’s too restrictive. The 100 mm last, corresponding to a medium volume, accommodates a standard foot shape without excessive lateral play, promoting effective support without compressing the foot.
The closure system combines two micro-adjustable aluminum buckles with a BOA Fit system, a cable-based tightening technology that allows for continuous, smooth micro-adjustment. In practice, this system reduces localized pressure points and improves heel stability within the shell, resulting in better power transfer and greater stability when turning. A 35 mm power strap completes the design at the collar for additional support at the top of the boot. The Easy Entry Soft Flap—soft plastic inserts integrated into the boot’s entry—makes it easier to put the boot on and take it off, a feature appreciated at the end of the day or during breaks.
The 3D Performance Fit W liner features Primaloft insulation, a material known for its ability to retain heat while remaining lightweight and moisture-resistant. This liner is also designed to conform to the contours of a woman’s foot, with a specific profile that minimizes friction. The Bimat PU shell and PU collar can be customized by a bootfitter using built-in infrared technology: targeted heating relieves specific pressure points without deforming the entire structure. The adjustable cuff profile also allows for vertical volume customization, which is useful for skiers with uniquely proportioned shins or calves.
The Speedmachine 3 85WR SK BOA(GW) ski boots are equipped with GripWalk Extra-Grip soles, whose rocker design significantly improves walking on hard or slippery soil between runs. These soles ensure full compatibility with GripWalk bindings, which are found on a growing number of modern alpine bindings. They also remain compatible with standard alpine bindings, making them a versatile choice for most equipment setups.
The Nordica Speedmachine 3 85WR SK BOA(GW) is designed for intermediate to advanced female skiers who ski on the slopes regularly and want a technical, comfortable, and easily adjustable boot, with the option of professional boot fitting for a precise fit tailored to their foot shape.
