With the Cool Lock, Dakine offers a compact lock designed for skiers and snowboarders who want to secure their gear without unnecessary bulk. Designed for versatile winter use, it’s equally suitable for securing skis or snowboards, whether on a vehicle’s roof racks or on ski racks at the resort. Its compact size and light weight of 120 grams make it a discreet accessory that slips easily into a bag or jacket pocket.

The COOL LOCK: a ski lock with a customizable combination

The system uses a fully customizable 4-digit combination, allowing each user to set their own code without relying on a key. The 94-cm retractable cable provides enough reach to wrap around a pair of skis or a snowboard and secure them to a fixed point. The retractable cable makes storage easy and prevents knots or tangles once the lock is folded up.

A sturdy construction in a compact design

The Cool Lock’s design combines several complementary materials: an ABS housing for a lightweight main body, a steel cable for cut resistance, and PVC and POM components for the durability of the moving parts and the protective sheath. Its dimensions of 9.5 x 6.5 x 2 cm make it a truly pocket-sized device, without compromising the overall sturdiness. The Cool Lock reduces the risk of opportunistic theft of skis and snow sports equipment, though it does not claim to provide absolute protection against a determined attempt.
